Lynh looks like cough

PaulinePetrovaPosey · 09/04/2020 19:25

I like Lynn, due a revival. Sweet but smart.

JorisBonson · 09/04/2020 19:24

Immediately makes me think of Alan Partridge

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 09/04/2020 19:21

Oh for God's sake
Lynn.

OhTheRoses · 09/04/2020 19:18

I disagree PawPatrol Lynn is at least 60.

chipsandgin · 09/04/2020 19:17

Assuming Lynh isn’t a typo I would read that as being pronounced’Lin huh’ - which even is intentional is a bit odd!?

CollaborativeBee · 09/04/2020 19:17

I think Lynne is lovely.

It's simple but pretty.

It's not dated like Sharon or Tracy. I considered Lynne as a second name for my daughter.

WrongKindOfFace · 09/04/2020 19:15

I’m going to assume that Lynh is a typo.

Definitely Lynn or Lyn. Although I’m not sure it’s due for a revival just yet.

DivGirl · 09/04/2020 19:02

My phone wants to autocorrect your second spelling to lunch. And I actually prefer the name Lunch.

Orphlids · 09/04/2020 18:57

I prefer Lynn. And please ignore these rude people who think you ought to choose something else because they - total strangers - don’t like the name.

nettytree · 09/04/2020 18:32

If you go with lynne, it has to be with 2 ns and an e. Better tho is Lynnette. Still with 2 ns.

PawPatrolMakesMeDrink · 09/04/2020 18:29

Lynn is in her 50’s and Lynh is a lifetime of name spelling.

donquixotedelamancha · 09/04/2020 18:27

Lynn or Lynh?

No.

florascotia2 · 09/04/2020 18:26

If the OP is serious, then please no. There is a usual spelling for Lynn - why change it?

If it's a mistaken attempt to look "Celtic" then no, also. There is a perfectly good Scottish Gaelic word "linn" or Welsh word "llyn" that both mean "lake". The Scottish version has not traditionally been used as personal name.

There is a pretty Welsh name Eluned (Welsh speakers will correct me, but approx pronounced "Eh-linn-ed" - but with a soft d) which in Arthurian stories became "Lynette".

There are also more modern versions including Linnet (?after the bird).

BakedBeeeen · 09/04/2020 18:13

Is this another Balonz?

AJTracey · 09/04/2020 18:03

Appuskidu · 09/04/2020 18:00

Lynh Grin

Pinkblueberry · 09/04/2020 18:00

Lynh with a random h? Whyh?

Useryokyesno · 09/04/2020 17:56

Lynh looks like a typo. Is it actually a name?

Ineedabreak19 · 09/04/2020 17:48

Lyn or Lynne never Lynh as it looks like a spelling mistake.

Lena as an alternative version.

OhioOhioOhio · 09/04/2020 17:46

Why not Lynhih?

Sorry but you can't just stick letters on names!

Fivefourthree · 09/04/2020 17:37

I prefer it spelt Lynn.
