Old lady name help

User1704 · 09/04/2020 13:58

I have about 1 week left now and no names at all. Nothing feels right.
I like old lady type names. Quite like Sadie and Elise but can’t imagine using either! Any suggestions?
I also like annabelle but again I’m just not sold

I was desperate to call my baby Ada but he turned out to be a boy. My gran’s sister was called Mariah but she went by Riah and I thought that was nice too.

Greenmarmalade · 10/04/2020 00:11

Don’t rush, though. You have 6 weeks to name her! Just make your register office appt. in advance and take your time. I took ages to name my babies!

Are all babies/toddlers I know. I can’t believe the utter dreariness(sorry) of these names or that young people are choosing them.
Actual old ladies in my family are Caroline, Rose, Kitty, Gwen.

Josie, Jean, Hetti, Alice, Catherine, Emma, Mary, Lucy, Rose, Betty.

Just names of lovely ladies I know 😁

Sadie is a beautiful name, might be one for me to steal and add to my list!

TheReluctantCountess · 09/04/2020 18:21

I love Sylvia. It means ‘from the forest’ and that’s just beautiful. Ds would have been a Sylvia if he had been a girl.
