Hi sorry been awol. I was born in late 1980's :). My parents were going to call me Michelle, but Dad didn't like the nickname Shelley that Mum wanted 😊.

Mine was/is Frances Callon. I was born in 1979. The names are an aunt's name and a family surname.

The trouble is most people have the middle names Jane, Louise, Marie or Anne! It seems everyone from the age 30 - 60

Have to admit I'm very surprised so many people guessed 80's for Sian, your correct but I always think of it as 'eraless' name as opposed to my first which is very much of the time I think

littlemisslumpy sorry no, I was born in 1956. My aunt Mignon born in 1923 had the same middle name. Was from the poem the raven by Poe.

Middle names are not a good indicator of the year you were born. Many people give their children middle names to honour family members or Godparentsetc., that are quite a bit older. That could be an aunt who is only 16, a grandparent who is 50 or a great, great grand parent who has been dead forever.

There were quite a few Michelle’s in school with me in the 1970’s so I’d say late 60’s

notdoingitanymore If people knew my real life name or email as well as my middle name then yeh I could see the problem. Not that I’ve ever used my middle name on a security question. But I don’t think ButterflyBitch Rose is going to get then anywhere Wink

Ps , for the person worried about security I never use middle name as an answer as it’s too easy for people to guess , particularly if you know the first name .

I was the first Jane in the thread and the answer was 1966 for me . I totally agree that names like Ann , Jane and Louise can be multigenerational , my daughters middle name is Louise and she was born in 1999 .
