Meredith or Bronwen

I’m English and DH is welsh and we live in England but near to wales. We already have a DS Who has a welsh name but it has a nickname that’s easy for the English! We don’t know the sex of number 2 yet but if it’s a girl can’t decide between meredith or bronwen? What do people think? Thanks

Meredith is a surname.
And shed end up being Merry at school.
It's a no from me.

Like both, Meredith is my favourite and I prefer Bronwyn spelling.

Also like Bethan, Delyth, Eleri, Elin, Ffion and Rhiannon.

How about Merryn. I think it's Cornish so it's got a bit of the Celtic connection but combines the two?

They’re both beautiful and nothing like what I would have ever come up with. I think I prefer Bronwen. Although I’m like 51% Bronwen 49% Meredith.

Bronwen was on our list if we found out we were having a girl (which we are !) but we decided on another name after having a think but Bronwen is beautiful and can be shortened to Winnie if you wanted a nick name ! Congrats either way ! X
