Do you like Peter for a little boy? DGF's name so does also have meaning to us.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like it. Also like Pete. My elderly neighbour is a Pete and he's brilliant so it has positive associations for me.

I'm nearly 40 and know quite a few Peters and Petes my age.

Not old enough yet to be cool I don't think. But lovely as a family middle đŸ˜ƒ.

No :( it makes me feel old

Aquamarine1029 · 08/04/2020 01:02

Absolutely hate the name Peter. Weak and ineffectual.

MrsHoolie · 08/04/2020 00:59

Lovely name and not very common which is good!

BackforGood · 07/04/2020 23:49

Yes, lovely name.
Ticks all my boxes when thinking about 'good' names Smile

Clotho55 · 07/04/2020 23:41

Peter is an easy name for small boys to spell and it's traditional, with Biblical connotations - if that's your interest/inclination - and it isn't all that common. There are variations of Peter in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian as well. HTH

123Dancewithme · 07/04/2020 23:35

Love it!

87Callista · 07/04/2020 22:32

Great, strong, classic name. I am a fan of both Peter and Pete.

IVflytrap · 07/04/2020 20:16

I really like it and have done for quite a while. Don't know any boys with the name yet.

Greenvilla · 07/04/2020 18:54

Really awful. Quite a weak dated name

Thisismytimetoshine · 07/04/2020 18:48

Yes, love it.

Quicklittlenamechange · 07/04/2020 18:48

Sorry but its terribly dull

NB Im saddled with an old fashioned dull name .

finallychangedmyusername · 07/04/2020 18:45

I love it, and would be really pleased to see it on a little one. Peter Pan, Narnia, Peter Rabbit references are all wonderful (you could get given a lot of name-related gifts for a newborn Peter!) Grin

glotterbug · 07/04/2020 16:42

I love the name Peter, I would have used it had I had a boy.

mous · 07/04/2020 16:41

Unless her surname is 'Pecker' don't think it's a problem...GrinGrin

I adore the name Peter. Maybe it's because of reading Narnia as a child but has associations of strength, virtue, leadership etc to me.

FizzyGreenWater · 07/04/2020 16:34

Sorry, not a fan! Also American slang for penis, if that bothers you?

vickibee · 07/04/2020 16:31

It is my sons middle name, after his grandad. We like it too and it goes well with his first name

TheVanguardSix · 07/04/2020 16:31

I love this name! You can't go wrong with Peter.

bitheby · 07/04/2020 16:28

Yes. I have a cat called Peter but it is a nice name.

Evansamr · 07/04/2020 16:20

I have a 2 year old Peter - I love it and get lots of compliments on his name.

lessness · 07/04/2020 15:55

Thank you all. It's a lovely name, just wasn't sure it was ready for it's come back but sounds like it is Smile

It was my dad’s name and one of my boys has it as a middle name. I like it a lot.

DramaAlpaca · 07/04/2020 14:21

I really like it.

daisypond · 07/04/2020 14:19

It means rock. It’s a strong name.
