Thank you for all your replies. I hope you don't mind but I kind of cheated a bit....my 'baby' girl is now is her 30's and her name is Nicole. I love reading the baby name posts and I just wondered what the consensus was around the name Nicole these days.

I think it's an ok name. It does sound a bit dated to me. I prefer Nicolle/Nicol - pronounced Nic-oll

The o is short. Pronounced Nicol, as Papa does in the advert.

I’m not a fan, largely because I went to school with a few Nicole’s and none of them were very nice!

It’s dated, but I think eventually it will have classic status. Similar to Simone. It’s a nice name, simple but classy.
