Whatsyourflava · 03/04/2020 18:46

I like names in this style (like Alan!) buy Brian just looks too much like Brain and that really puts me off

EmpressLangClegInChair · 03/04/2020 18:41

Are you in Hull, OP?

sugarcherry · 03/04/2020 18:40
Confused
MikeUniformMike · 03/04/2020 18:38

Threads on the same name happen quite often @DramaAlpaca.
Often when the name gets panned in them.

I like Brian and think it has lots more character than the Arlos and Otises .

Mulanlin · 02/04/2020 23:10

No

DramaAlpaca · 02/04/2020 21:49

Is it a coincidence or is this at least the third recent thread asking exactly the same question about the name Brian? Confused

MondeoFan · 02/04/2020 20:23

Yes. It's my Dads name. He is 71 it's always served him well

MrsSiriusBlack1 · 02/04/2020 20:22

NemophilistRebel · 02/04/2020 19:53

How about Keith or Gary ?

BrooHaHa · 02/04/2020 19:53

I like it. For me it's been somewhat ruined by Monty Python, but I taught a lovely little Brian a while back and it really suited him.

Carrie7469 · 02/04/2020 19:52

No

EasyTarget · 02/04/2020 19:52

No.

Topseyt · 02/04/2020 19:52

I am married to one. I don't dislike it as a name, but wouldn't have chosen it if we had had boys.

WouldShouldCould · 02/04/2020 19:51

It's brilliant and underused, bet he will be the only one in his class. Also love Derrick

I think it's lovely and definitely unusual now. I had a friend in high school called Brian, it was uncommon then but it's almost unique now, I suspect... Go for it!!

pinkbluetrees · 02/04/2020 19:49

Just no!!! I don't get that name. Even in its day it's awful surely. And changing the spelling won't make one blind bit of difference.

Toilenstripes · 02/04/2020 19:47

Better for a cat, as others have mentioned.

MikeUniformMike · 02/04/2020 19:45

I like it.
I'm not keen on the Bryan spelling.

bleepbleepbla · 02/04/2020 19:44

Poor kid

AgeLikeWine · 02/04/2020 19:44

Excellent name.

ofwarren · 02/04/2020 19:43

Nooo, it's really not a nice sound.
It's a bit like Gary or Martin.
