What do people think of this? I have always loved the name but as always find myself playing devil's advocate when a decision is required...!

My criteria are in no particular order:

Scottish
Doesn't end in "S" or "sh"
Doesn't sound like a surname
Not too popular (I live abroad so Rory not common here)

Love Rory. For some reason I think a Rory would always be kind, reliable, and good tempered !

Love the name Rory. I have a grown up one and everyone adores him. It was unusual when he was at school. Apparently means red-headed one in Gaelic.

I love it and would have liked it for DS1 but it didn't go with our surname.

Scottish names that I love are Alistair, Fraser and Angus.

In primary school my ds went with a boy called Rory Lyons!!
