Thoughts on this for a baby boy?
Double barrelled surname beginning with T so no clash there, I've not met any yet, does anyone know any? Opinions?
Thanks

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think Theodore's probably the best of the bunch there, Theo's nice and would be ok for an adult.

CoffeeRunner · 29/03/2020 17:30

Well. My DM - born in 1942 and now no longer with us - was told that had she been a boy, she would have been called Digby.

It was her lifelong number 1 reason for being glad she'd been born female.

Her DPs (my GPs) had said they were looking for an unusual first name as they had a very common surname.

We're south London but not red trouser brigade!

Winston is good. I don't like Theodore at all.

Standrewsschool · 29/03/2020 17:29

Knew a Digby. Love it.

MikeUniformMike · 29/03/2020 17:28

Does the DF wear red trousers?

yestonodressyet · 29/03/2020 17:25

Other options were Monty / Wilfred / Winston / Theodore

Just looked at my list and also have Oscar and Rufus on there...I must like dog names!

I quite like Digby.

VerbenaGirl · 29/03/2020 12:57

Will possibly get shortened to Digs - which I like.

UncleMatthewsEntrenchingTool · 29/03/2020 12:56

Ah no, That Mitchell and Webb Look according to Google.

UncleMatthewsEntrenchingTool · 29/03/2020 12:54

Wasn’t Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar in Little Britain?

AnneJeanne · 29/03/2020 12:44

Are you posh?

ProperVexed · 29/03/2020 12:42

Well! I absolutely love it. It was on my list ( but vetoed by dull, boring DH). Go for it.

TenaciousP · 29/03/2020 12:42

There's Digby Dragon too - the tv show...

Apolloanddaphne · 29/03/2020 12:36

I cam got say it's a dogs name too. My friend had a dog called Digby.

Whatsyourflava · 29/03/2020 12:34

There’s a Digby on Made in Chelsea. He’s really attractive but I’ve always thought his name was daft and made him less attractive somehow. On one of the Made In Chelsea episodes a load of the other toffs are taking the mick out of his name and even his girlfriend is saying “it’s a dogs name, I’d never give my child a name like that”

It’s a “no” from me

Have you got any other names on the list @yestonodressyet

BigRedBoat · 29/03/2020 12:30

What about Douglas instead?

BiggerBoat1 · 29/03/2020 12:28

Mlou32 I think you've just described Penfold

EasyTarget · 29/03/2020 12:27

Digby the dog. It's a no from me.

Mlou32 · 29/03/2020 12:26

A think a grown up 'Digby' would wear a beige anorak and carry a briefcase. He would be small in stature with a bald head with the 'horseshoe' hair around the sides. He would wear those small round specs' and have a job as an actuary, bank manager or similar profession.

allaboardthesinkingship · 29/03/2020 12:09

100% a dogs name

FAQs · 29/03/2020 12:08

Made in Chelsea has a Digby it’s different.

Rewy · 29/03/2020 12:05

Dogs name.

WalledGarden · 29/03/2020 12:05

No, no, no — see Digby Jones, now Baron Jones of Birmingham, big business corporate drone, UKIP fellow-traveller and former ‘business advisor’ to the Duke of York.
