28 weeks with our gorgeous boy and top of the list right now is Finn....but Baker is starting to grow on me!! Too out there?? I really don't want a common name where his friends will have to say his surname to tell him apart, but nothing too odd that will get him teased either!! Who knew choosing a name was to hard!!

Baxter or Blake but definitely not Baker , never heard that as a first name . But at the end of the day it is your choice ! Finn is lovely and not common round here , I know one Finlay . Congratulations! X

HarrietTheShy · 27/03/2020 07:52

How about Baxter?

AnneJeanne · 27/03/2020 07:43

Sounds American

Firsttimerat35 · 27/03/2020 07:24

😂 😂 😂 So that's a firm "no" then?!! Baker is off the list!

Butcher, baker, candlestick maker.

Star baker.

chardonm · 27/03/2020 04:52

Sorry but no! Baker is not a name.

Robyn578 · 27/03/2020 02:30

Not a fan of either name, but Baker is a particularly awful choice. Sorry.

Gemma2019 · 27/03/2020 01:35

Only if you give him the middle name Loo. Even better if you hyphenate.

BecauseReasons · 27/03/2020 01:34

I genuinely prefer Balonz.

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 27/03/2020 01:28

Just adding to the chorus of REALLY BAD.

Patch23042 · 27/03/2020 01:25

Finn is great. I also like the suggestion of Cooper.

Graft · 27/03/2020 01:18

Only if your surname is Light.

Thepigeonsarecoming · 27/03/2020 01:17

My dog loves Bakers dog food, he approves 😂

123Dancewithme · 27/03/2020 01:15

Awful

JuneJuly · 26/03/2020 23:09

One of my favourite boy names is Parker tho', would you consider that maybe?

hotcrossbun4321 · 26/03/2020 23:09

No. Butcher and Candlestickmaker come to mind.

Maybe Cooper or Tucker if you're into the surnames thing

IHeartKingThistle · 26/03/2020 23:06

I've taught a Baker, he was African. He kind of rocked it but I still think it's a terrible name!

TrickyKid · 26/03/2020 23:05

No. It's a surname.

emilybrontescorsett · 26/03/2020 23:04

Baker is awful.

TwoKnocks · 26/03/2020 23:03

Only if your surname is another craft/trade name, so he’s Baker Baker, or Baker Tailor or Baker Thatcher, or Baker Fletcher.

Honestly, OP, it’s awful. It’s a fine surname but as a first name it makes me think of a gingerbread man with currant eyes in a chef’s toque.

ownround · 26/03/2020 23:01

I'm not one to rain on a parade - each to their own when it comes to names...but I have to say, I'm with @Choccyp1g

Finn is really nice. ( I also don't know of a single one. South East. ) If that helps.

JuneJuly · 26/03/2020 23:01

Nope.

There are many occupation/surname type names that are well established these days as first names... Baker is not one of them!

Flordelice · 26/03/2020 23:00

Sorry, I don’t like Baker. I do like Finn.

How about Flynn or Fletcher?

VenusClapTrap · 26/03/2020 22:59

Baker is bad.

user1493494961 · 26/03/2020 22:58

Ridiculous.
