Freddie - it's a diminutive
Joel - yes
Max - ok
Elliot - ok
Jack - ok
Leo - yes

PlantPotting · 14/03/2020 14:28

Jack Leo Elliot Freddie or Max are all lovely!

Quizeerascal · 14/03/2020 13:41

Freddie - too much of a nn imo and doesn't go so well with Isaac
Joel- Love this, goes well with Isaac too
Max- Perhaps too rhymy with Isaac as others have said
Elliot- Love this, would go really with Isaac
Jack- Doesn't sound quite right with Isaac, also v popular but for good reason
Leo- I like it but Joel and Elliott would be my faves

mylittleavalon · 14/03/2020 12:53

Love Leo! Agree with pp think max and Jack are nice names but they stick in the throat a bit when you say them with Isaac. X

Daffie19 · 14/03/2020 12:53

Hey, I have a DS Isaac.
Were trying for a baby and I'm already thinking Joel for a boy.
It's growing on me.
I like classic but not overused names.
I've only ever known of 1 Joel.

I like Joseph too, but it's BIL middle name and I don't like him too much, wouldn't want him to think baby was named after him! 😂

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 14/03/2020 12:51

Elliot

mytypeonpaper · 14/03/2020 12:49

Issac and Elliot

DoctorBambino · 14/03/2020 12:43

Freddie - Its a bit posh sounding to me and I don't like it for an adult which leaves you with Fred which I think is awful
Joel - I like it
Max - I like it
Elliot - nah too flouncy
Jack - I like it
Leo - I like it

GalOopNorth · 14/03/2020 08:55

I love Leo too

Ikeameatballs · 14/03/2020 08:53

Leo or Freddie

Isthistrueor · 14/03/2020 08:51

Freddie- not keen on diminutives being used as full names so if Frederick is on the BC then it’s fine but otherwise no
Joel- bit outdated
Max- again with the diminutive point, Maximilian, Maximus, Maxwell then fine
Elliot - it’s ok
Jack- quite like it and it isn’t as common as it once was
Leo- Leonardo maybe.

interest12 · 14/03/2020 08:49

All are nice - except Joel!

Bloomburger · 14/03/2020 07:48

We have a Max too.

Bloomburger · 14/03/2020 07:47

Elliot (DSs middle name. Love it don't know anyone else who has used it)
Joel only know one, he's a family member who 30. Lovely man which colours judgement but I also don't know of any others.

The rest of the names are spread evenly between my youngest 5 and my middle child 14 so have been around for years.

Flymetothestars · 14/03/2020 07:47

Elliot is lovely

FluffyEggsontoast · 14/03/2020 07:41

Love your list apart from jowl

OneKeyAtATime · 14/03/2020 07:32

Leo.

ButtonMooooon · 14/03/2020 06:36

I have an Elliott and Isaac so my vote goes to that combination Grin

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 14/03/2020 06:05

All lovely although perhaps less keen on Joel

motortroll · 14/03/2020 06:03

Sorry sent too soon.

I love the name Joel but my fave to go with Isaac is Elliot

Isaac and Elliot

motortroll · 14/03/2020 06:02

I think you should discount jack and max as when you say the 2 boys names they're a bit rhymey.

Isaac and jack
Isaac and max

Just sounds a bit odd!

Isaac and Joel
Isaac and Leo

These sound better!

I don't like Freddie, it's too popular.

NearlyGranny · 14/03/2020 05:48

You could go Old Testament to find a match for Isaac - maybe not Hezekiah or Job - but on your list Leo is the standout for me! It works for a cuddly baby, a gangly teen and a serious grown up too.

Thepigeonsarecoming · 14/03/2020 05:39

I’m not going with the others, I love Leo and I love Freddie. Don’t like Joel, but that’s a personal reason :)

MyTwoPence · 14/03/2020 05:36

Freddie is Krueger to me so a definite no.

Other than that in order from best to worst:
Max
Elliot
Joel
Leo
Jack

Actively like the first three, the last two I'm less keen on, but I don't know if that's just that the two together make me think of Titanic (Jack, played by Leo)

I'm also not so keen on Jack with Isaac because of them both ending in the same sound.

I think Joel probably goes best with Isaac

Astronica · 14/03/2020 04:53

Leo and Joel are my favourites for Isaac's brother.
