Please help us!! My wife and i are expecting our second little boy in May, and as predicted, we cant agree On a name!
It took almost 9 months for us to come up with Ruben, for our first, and now we are well into the trauma of trawling through boys names again!!
We are a quirky bunch and really arent into traditional popular names, we will consider anything unusual, nothing is too wierd! ✌️😁
So please throw your suggestions on us! We need all the help we can get!! Thanks xx

If you both love Jesse you could still use it, even though it's DS1's middle name.

Otherwise there are lots of great Old Testament names that would go well:
Adam (not unusual but underused atm)
Elijah
Ethan
Ezra
Isaac
Jacob
Joel
Jude
Levi
Micah
Saul
Tobias (Toby)
Zachary

Felix

Thats not the sort of mindset we encourage in this house mrsdede our little boy is his own little person, he has a little individual streak hes confident and full 0f fun, some of the wierdest names have come from him, and we encourage that, equally he loves his name, and has no issue with it, im sorry, but i think youre trying to be patronising, and belittling in a passive agressive way, which says more about you than me, 💁‍♀️

Because Ruben could feel Pluto got the 'cool' name and he had the boring one. And Pluto could feel they his name is super embarrassing and Ruben had the normal name.

Niaxx · 11/03/2020 14:56

Why would they? 😂😂 Im not planning on calling him a household object! 😂😂

You might not be bothered by having one child with a regular name and one with a crazy name, but they might. Just a thought.

Niaxx · 11/03/2020 14:52

We spelt Ruben this way because we preferred the look of it without the E, it had nothing to do with the heritage of the name 😉 neither of us are spanish, or jewish.. Well not directly anyway, were not really bothered about keeping the names connected with some sort if theme, we just want an unusual unpopular name 😊

tiggertogger · 11/03/2020 14:48

Any reason you went for the Hispanic spelling of Reuben? Looks like a typo. But if you're Spanish maybe you should follow that theme. Reuben to me would signal Jewish strongly, is that a theme you want to follow?

mrsdede · 11/03/2020 14:47

It's been 'popular' (not overused) for quite some time now. And it's a beautiful, timeless classic name. And one id quite like to use myself, so no need to explain yourself 🤣 I just don't think I'd go too crazy with the next name.

Jago
Indiana

Clangus00 · 11/03/2020 14:41

Michah and Reuben are both lovely Biblical names and definitely aren't unusual. But good choices.

Niaxx · 11/03/2020 14:41

Roo is 4 now, and weve all changed a bit, along with our tastes since he came along, where we live its not very common, but he suits his name and i couldnt ever imagine him being anything else. I also think his name has increased in popularity in the past few years.. Not really sure why im explaining myself though... 🤔

PixieDustt · 11/03/2020 14:34

Oh gosh didn't think of the last name 😂

mrsdede · 11/03/2020 14:32

Ruben isn't a quirky name. Ruben and Phoenix don't go well together. Ruben and Levi?

Niaxx · 11/03/2020 14:32

Id call him axel in a heart beat, ive always absolutely loved it but..... Axel maxwell! I just couldnt do it to him! 😂😂😂

Niaxx · 11/03/2020 14:31

We looked at diff spellings for micah, but both preferred it with the H, nico is lovely 👍
