Is it due a revival?

I know a lovely Gloria, the name has really grown on me!

MrsSiriusBlack1 · 11/03/2020 09:28

No

Bluejaune · 11/03/2020 09:26

Like it. More common in the US than here I think.

Isthistrueor · 11/03/2020 09:16

No. My Gran had a good friend named Gloria, she had thick red hair and she used to sit chain smoking. I always remember her hoarse voice. Nice woman but a very old woman and the name just makes me picture her.

Tbf my Gran also has a friend called Violet and that name has made a comeback...

Gorgeous Gloria Pritchett!

I love it, along the lines of Joy and Faith. Beautiful.

Bezalelle · 10/03/2020 17:14

I really like it! Makes a nice change from the millions of boring Charlottes, Lilies, Islas and Amelias.

BlastEndedSkrewt · 10/03/2020 17:05

love it

123Dancewithme · 10/03/2020 17:00

It’s lovely!

EmmaJR1 · 08/03/2020 20:36

My lovely but ditsy 72 year old mil is a Gloria!

HotSauceCommittee · 08/03/2020 19:07

I like it. Much better than “Elsie” as an old name.

DailyDuckie · 08/03/2020 18:53

I'm currently pregnant with our 3rd, my eldest daughter is convinced we are going to call our new one Gloria and has told everyone that Gloria is the new baby's name. It has gone on for so long now that when anyone asks how I'm doing they also ask 'how is Gloria doing?' 😂

DramaAlpaca · 08/03/2020 17:21

No, awful. I only know one, she must be in her 50s and I think the name is too old for her, let alone a child.

PunkAssMoFo · 08/03/2020 16:54

Yes! It’s amazing and I love it.

myrtleWilson · 08/03/2020 16:28

I like it but then Laura Brannigan's "Gloria" was one of my favourite songs when I was a girl!

bridgetreilly · 08/03/2020 16:22

I am coming round to it. I would use nn Glory.

daisypond · 08/03/2020 15:49

I like it.

itssquidstella · 08/03/2020 15:36

I know a 17 year old Gloria. I don't love it, personally, but I don't find it as objectionable as some other people on the thread seem to!

user1493494961 · 08/03/2020 15:32

Definitely no.

BoomBoomBoomLetMeHearYouSay · 08/03/2020 14:50

Polarising then!

Just no 🤮

SwedishEdith · 08/03/2020 12:35

Fantastic!

katy1213 · 08/03/2020 12:33

No, she has dyed black hair and a fag hanging out of her mouth.

AuntieStella · 08/03/2020 12:30

It's been growing on me for a few years now.

And I think it's an excellent homage to HMQ

jfoyo26 · 08/03/2020 12:26

I like it - reminds me of the awesome Van Morrison song.
