I just discovered this name recently and love it, hope to use it one day for a daughter. What do other people think of it?

Adore it! Love it as a full name or as Juno/June/Junie!

HerRoyalNotness · 10/03/2020 16:34

I love it, we used it as a middle name, wish we’d used for first.

123Dancewithme · 10/03/2020 16:32

I know one, her parents call her Junie or Junebug.

LangClegsOpinionIsNoted · 10/03/2020 14:22

Oh, Pip is a brilliant nickname! Go for it!

Snipples · 10/03/2020 11:37

I really like it OP. It was on our list but I wasn't brave enough to go for it.

genericusername333 · 10/03/2020 11:22

Whatsyourflava I think it may become more popular but not majorly, which is good. Anyone know where to find stats for Scotland?

Astronica hadn't thought of Pip as a nickname, that's very cute!

Cherrytangfastic if I have a daughter one day I'll definitely use it Grin

I think it’s lovely.

Whatsyourflava · 10/03/2020 09:14

There was 90 girls in 2018 given this name (most recent year we have stats for). There’ll be more in 2020 given its upward trajectory. No ones going to be that shocked - it’s lovely

Whatsyourflava · 10/03/2020 09:13

I love it. It’s not that unusual these days- parents would get used to it pretty quickly I think. Love Juno too.

Astronica · 10/03/2020 09:13

I really like it. I like the full version and nns like Junie. It does seem to be more used in the US, where I've seen Pip suggested as possible nn, which I also love.

Cherrytangfastic · 10/03/2020 08:54

Love it. I know a little Juniper through a friend and it really suits her. It's the name for our future daughter. Go for it! I'd like a few more to pop up so that it doesn't seem too unusual Grin

genericusername333 · 07/03/2020 15:24

Thankfully my partner likes it too, but I do wonder what my family would react like. It's good to know that you have a had positive reactions though.

I quite like it.

LangClegsOpinionIsNoted · 07/03/2020 14:58

I like it, but prefer Juno (just!).

yellowfrontdoor · 07/03/2020 14:57

Yep, in the UK.

I'm so glad we went for it, I've not met another yet (and I'm in childcare) and it suits her down to the ground Smile

genericusername333 · 07/03/2020 14:56

I like that there are multiple nicknames available, but I really prefer the full name. My sons name can't be shortened!

genericusername333 · 07/03/2020 14:55

Ahh yellow! That's great! Do you live in the uk? Juniper seems more popular in the US?

OP posts:
yellowfrontdoor · 07/03/2020 14:52

I have a Juniper!

We've never had any negative comments, apart from the occasional 'oh! How.... unusual!' Grin

We do tend to use her full name but shorten it to Juno occasionally.

AdaColeman · 07/03/2020 14:49

It's a bit too hippy-dippy for me.

genericusername333 · 07/03/2020 14:41

Hmm the gin association wouldn't bother me, as I don't drink it, but some family members may find it funny or something. I like the song Jennifer Juniper, so I don't see that as a negative.

Doodlesquah1 · 07/03/2020 14:39

I quite like Juno or June

Junie sounds a bit daft

daisypond · 07/03/2020 14:38

I like it. It gets mentioned on here quite often.

genericusername333 · 07/03/2020 14:34

No Grin maybe Juno or Junie?
