Name for sibling of Sequoiadendron?

I'm expecting a second child and struggling with name ideas. Not sure of the gender yet but would like something unique that you don't find often. My husband is a botanist which is why we called our daughter Sequoiadendron (Sequoia for short!) and we're looking for something similar that's plant related.
Thanks in advance for the help fellow mums!! :)

oh dear, I feel sorry for your kids

on a more serious note, if I were an actual botanist who wanted to give a nod to my profession/passion (why? as someone said early on it isn't like it is a branding opportunity) I'd call my daughter Linnea

BlackAmericanNoSugar - I reckon Anova would have been ideal for another girl.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 27/02/2020 13:59

I've never made the connection until now, but I wanted to be an astrophysicist (still do really) but I'm not intelligent enough, and the girl's name that I wanted to use is Celeste. Shock My choice of boy's name has nothing to do with space/sky though nor is it connected to the profession that I actually ended up in (statistical analyst).

Great joke. Love some of the answers.

ChocoChunk1 · 27/02/2020 09:34

I have no desire to expand family now but as a tube station supervisor maybe I should have named DD Victoria. For a boy, Euston or Warren (street).

nevertrustaninja · 27/02/2020 09:23

aw thanks AnneKipanki Smile

Your children are the cleanest @ChilliMayo and @nevertrustaninja .

ChilliMayo · 27/02/2020 08:53

I'm in social care management and have 2 dc, Clinelle and Milton.

nevertrustaninja · 27/02/2020 08:51

Gosh hark at you lot showing off about your posh jobs! I'm a stay at home Mum and my children are called Zoflora, Cif and Viakal. Their names are lovely, not too difficult to spell and sound a bit exotic.

Booboostwo · 27/02/2020 08:25

I’m a philosopher so I went with Ontology and Logicaldenominator. Onti and Logi for short, although Logicaldenominator insists on the full version, he is a stickler for rules.

Little Herpeshitler wins the thread.
