I like Caspian and Benedict best.

We have a Quentin which you may like? We also liked Caspar and Raphael.

Some of the others sound a bit parody posh person to me (like a ‘Tory boy’ comedy sketch or something)

There’s a Digby on Made in Chelsea and his own girlfriend and mates were teasing him on the programme saying it’s a weak dogs name x

Octavius - prefer Octavian, the one I know says it as Oc-TAV-yan not Oc-TAYV-yan

Wilfred - ok but make's me think of Harold Steptoe's father

Caspian! I wanted it on the list for a boy but I had a girl anyway. I love it though!

I like unusual names but I’m not overly keen on the rest of your list. However I love Aurelius which you might like also.

Don't know why Barnaby suddenly seems so popular on these boards. Always sounded very old-fashioned and a bit too proper to me.

Personally I love Octavius and Caspian. Caspar is nice too in a similar vein. Or Octavian. And Cassius, though that one might be too out there !

I like Wilfred - lots of nn options too if he chooses eg Fred, Freddie (or Wilf which I don’t like as much but he might!)

I think my favourites are Benedict, Caspian and Crispin and my least favourites are Digby and Octavius.

The latter sounds a bit self-consciously middle class and I can't think of an abbreviation that would ever let him fit into a working class community. Might not bother you, but I like the idea of names that work anywhere.

I really like Barnaby. Wilfred is also nice - I see it mentioned on these boards a lot but don't know one irl. I do like Benedict too. Octavius is quite a name - I've not met one of those either! How about: Ernest, Isambard, Xavier?
