One syllable quirky names

This is very cliche but I fell in love with the name 'Love' from season 2 of You on Netflix. I wouldn't use this name but it made me realise that my favourite type of names are one syllable.

We love the name Grace but possibly as a middle name. Nothing else has really caught our attention, if you have any ideas please share them :) boy and girl names TIA

We knew for a girl we wanted Grace but either as a middle or double barrel, last night we were discussing and my DH came out with 'Ava Grace' and we both love it! Now to just actually have one on the way haha

Most of these are pets names aren't they?

NameChange84 · 12/02/2020 18:20

@MikeUniformMike

I was afraid about posters getting to adulthood without a grasp of what a syllable is. That would indicate that their experience of English teaching had been lacking, to say the least.

I’m not literally afraid of that situation or the adults who do not know what a syllable is. Neither sentence is grammatically incorrect but, imo, they subtly infer different meanings.

MikeUniformMike · 12/02/2020 18:04

@NameChange84, don't you mean 'afraid of'?

NameChange84 · 12/02/2020 18:02

@Wakeover as an English teacher, that’s what I was most afraid about!
