Twin for Marley (girl)

AliceBeckett · 11/02/2020 18:59

I posted a thread earlier asking people's opinions on the names Marley and Kennedy, and in real life I asked. Not as many people seem to be fans of Kennedy as they are Marley. So, twin girls, any other ideas? Not saying Kennedy is ruled out but I need some other ideas. I like Lilya, River and Blake. Suggestions please xSmile

Can't believe no-one has suggested 'Me' 😂. Joking aside, I think these go well together

Marley and Taylor
Marley and Claire
Marley and Georgia
Marley and Fiona

Quizeerascal · 15/02/2020 17:06

Marley and Avery
Marley and Harper
Marley and Brooke
Marley and Everley

Haha well Kennedy and Kensington as girl first names are both kinda crazy when you really think about it. In America, the Kennedys are a rather tragic family - so many bad things have happened to them. I would personally not name my child that despite the whole surname as first name craze. I know Kensington is a place name and palace but its remote for me being American so I'm just thinking along the trend of surnames as first names for girls, and I just like the sound of it better!! But it's long. I probably wouldn't actually use it haha!

I do love Marley! And I stand by my boho name list :) Let us know what you end up considering OP!!

CalleighDoodle · 15/02/2020 15:10

What about Roberta?

But i actually like Kennedy.

MikeUniformMike · 15/02/2020 15:08

Chelsea and Kensington would be brilliant names for twins.

How about Marley and Harley?

bitheby · 15/02/2020 07:17

If as a PP suggests you go with Kensington instead of Kennedy. Why not Chelsea instead of Marley.

Kensington and Chelsea the twins.

mathanxiety · 15/02/2020 07:12

I would say River and Blake are well on the male side, not gender neutral. Brook otoh is more on the feminine side though close to neutral.

I would suggest:
Avery
Isla
Iona
Willow
Hadley
Sydney
Eden
Winter/Wynter
Nola
Quinn
Juno
Blythe
Cleo
Hazel
Eleri
Winona
Lola
Campbell
Hollis
Sasha
Leilani

I agree with Rachelhaydenberk1 that Marley is lovely, and has a certain bohemian air thanks to Bob Marley.

ClappyFlappy · 15/02/2020 01:02

Brooke?

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 14/02/2020 13:23

I love Marley.

Kennedy has gotten quite popular for girls here in the US and I'm not a fan. I like Kensington better oddly enough (although its long!). I dont mind Emerson either. But overall I dont feel like these work with Marley.

To me Marley very bohemian with namesake of Bob Marley so I'll suggest:
Dahlia
Delilah
Avalon
Luna - love this with Marley
Hazel
Mazarine
Marigold
Mackenzie - if you want alliteration I like this
Madeleine
Aspen
Cyrene
Iris
Violet
Jade
Daisy - my face flower one with Marley
Isla
Anya
Jessamine
Isadora
Esme
Seren - also really love with Marley
Vesper
Valentine

Poorolddaddypig · 14/02/2020 12:47

Juno, Alba, Nova, Spencer

GoodnightJude1 · 13/02/2020 14:58

Love Marley!
I really like Lyla (probably because it’s an Oasis song)

River sounds nice with Marley.
Not keen on Kennedy but that’s probably because it’s a last name within my family.

battlestargalactica · 13/02/2020 14:54

charlie

HalfBloodPrincess · 13/02/2020 14:53

Kendra/kendall rather than Kennedy?

I work with a female Kenadee, shes Australian and her name suits her well

AliceBeckett · 12/02/2020 16:12

River and Blake are gender neutral names. I know of a Blake (girl) and also River is gender neutral.

Cassidy
Dakota

MikeUniformMike · 12/02/2020 15:57

I don't like Marley or your other suggestions.
River and Blake are boys' names.

TheOrangeFox · 11/02/2020 21:54

Not keen on Lilya but adore the gender neutral names.

AliceBeckett · 11/02/2020 19:57

Lil-ya is how i'd say it Smile

River and Blake are gorgeous together. Not a fan of Marley but if I had to choose, Marley and Blake.

Is Lilya Lie-lah or Lily-ya?

mummaintraining19 · 11/02/2020 19:43

I love the name Marley and Kennedy.
What about Marley & Mila? Mackenzie? Or if that’s too many ‘M’s... Elyssa? Alaïa?

Absolutely love the name River as well!!

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 11/02/2020 19:43

Kenzie is a bit chavvy

Kennedy is a bit preppy American (unless you ARE American I wouldn't choose it)

Scout and Marley sounds like a pet dogs names sorry

Twillow · 11/02/2020 19:40

Marley and Nico.
Marley and Scout.

Mummyeyes · 11/02/2020 19:37

Ooh I love the name Marley. One of my favourites. And River.

With Marley I think Layla rather than Lilya.

userabcname · 11/02/2020 19:32

I like Marley and Blake too. Your name preferences seem quite unisex so how about Riley, Spencer, Taylor, Avery?

BlueEyedFloozy · 11/02/2020 19:29

My brother's (male) dog is Marley - named after Bob not the shitty movie!

I've known 2 human Marley's - 1 male, 1 female, tbh I prefer it as a female name and I don't automatically associate it with dogs.

Marley and Blake are nice together and seperately although you may get the assumption that they are both male but that's soon sorted when they meet them!
