Thoughts on Victoria? Are there many little Victoria's about? I quite like Tori

Plum is sometimes used as a nickname.

Omashu · 08/02/2020 14:09

So awful Sad

CatkinToadflax · 08/02/2020 13:32

One of my closest friends is a Victoria so I’m probably biased, but I think it’s lovely.

I only found out recently that Vita Sackville-West was a Victoria. Vita is a beautiful nn.

FizzyGreenWater · 08/02/2020 12:39

Ah it's kind of ok but... no.

Pippilsngstrumpf · 08/02/2020 12:21

Tori sounds like the political party Shock

user1493494961 · 08/02/2020 11:36

Lovely name, not keen on Vicky but Tor or Tori are OK.

Pippilsngstrumpf · 08/02/2020 10:19

Beautiful name

icecreamsundae32 · 08/02/2020 10:14

Love it and know zero under 30! Not massively keen on Vicky, Vic or Tori but I could live with it if friends shortened it.

Bezalelle · 08/02/2020 10:09

Not a fan, simply because I know so many my age. Also puts me in mind of dumpling-faced Queen Vic.

Thefaceofboe · 08/02/2020 09:52

Love Victoria but I don’t like Vicky or Tori. My cousin Victoria gets Tors

Marlena1 · 08/02/2020 00:17

Toria is another shortening if you were worried about political links

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/02/2020 00:12

I love Victoria. It’s so pretty and elegant and strong and powerful at the same time.
I’ve not heard of a baby Victoria in years.

Krazynights34 · 07/02/2020 23:53

It’s lovely

PixieRabbit · 07/02/2020 23:39

It’s lovely.

Astronica · 07/02/2020 23:35

I love it.

SalmonOfKnowledge · 07/02/2020 23:33

I dont like it.

Whatsyourflava · 07/02/2020 23:29

I do like the full name though. A strong classic name.

Whatsyourflava · 07/02/2020 22:38

I suppose Tori does sound a bit .... political ... in these polarised times

Whatsyourflava · 07/02/2020 22:37

Not many young Victoria’s around. It’s numbers have been falling each year and it’s now outside the top 100.
But obviously loads of 30+ yo called victoria so whilst the name sounds fine to our generation, it might make the next generation think of their uncool dowdy mum’s mates unfortunately 😫

“Oh my aunties called Victoria”
“Oh the dinner lady Vicky”

JollyGiraffe12 · 07/02/2020 22:04

Just lovely
