Ok - please let me have it :D I think we have finally agreed our girls name!

I want to call her the full name, and will persevere with this when introducing her, then at nursery, school etc. Fully aware she'll get nicknames though, and I KNOW Evie is absolutely everywhere. (Tbh I rather like it, but so so common.) I like Van, Eve, Lina and Jelly Grin

I would like middle name to be Kitty, but other suggestions welcome please!!

Thanks so much everyone

Think it's wither going to be Evangeline Pearl, or Evangeline Calista. Think I know e=what the general preference will be..!

Evangeline Clare?

CassandrasCastle · 10/02/2020 10:51

Evangeline Rose or Grace is lovely, but just feels so overdone :(

I agonised over middle names with both my dds, have to admit now that it doesn't really matter. It's not like they get said very often!

But this is true!

Oooh I do like Evangeline Ruby.

Evangeline Lucia
Evangeline Ruby
Evangeline Rose

Great choice... I’ve always loved the name Evangeline, but DH vetoed it for our DDs.
However a friend of DHs had a sister called Evangeline and he used to call her Evangie which I thought was horrible. A bit too vagina like.

The nicknames you suggested though are lovely, OP.

notangelinajolie · 10/02/2020 00:45

Love, love, love Evangeline. If I was still having babies it would be my next girl name.

HannahC86 · 10/02/2020 00:33

Evangeline Lyra

Swoon.... ❤

Loveislandlydia · 09/02/2020 23:02

I love Evangeline Lily. I know she’s an actress but I don’t think she’s that well known that people will think ‘oh, like the actress’. It’s a beautiful name, that wouldn’t put me off at all

BringOnTheBotox · 09/02/2020 22:45

I love love love the name Evangeline! It's gorgeous!

How about Evangeline Lucy?

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 09/02/2020 22:27

I think it goes best with a simpler middle name but it can sustain something more than a "filler" middle name.

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 09/02/2020 22:24

Evangeline Pearl is really pretty!

CassandrasCastle · 09/02/2020 21:33

Hmm, Evangeline Pearl is nice... Evangeline Juliana is too much, right?

Evangeline is beautiful. Crisp and feminine.

Overthinker1988 · 09/02/2020 12:29

I'm not a fan of either tbh, Evangeline makes me think of Evangelical Christians or some kind of intimate infection medicine (it has all the letters of vagina). Kitty is something I'd call my cat. Sorry, I don't mean to be mean and most people seem to like the names so obviously my brain just makes weird associations. You did ask though.

pilates · 09/02/2020 11:25

Evangeline Pearl is lovely, not keen on Kitty

Bezalelle · 08/02/2020 18:32

There's an actor called Evangeline Lilly.

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 08/02/2020 17:40

My god daughter is Evangeline Luna called Eva (pronounced like Evan without the n).

purplepandas · 08/02/2020 17:35

I would go for a short middle name. As a mum if an 8 yr old Evangeline ( whose name is never shortened), a long middle name would be too much. I love the name but am biased! Like May etc.

bridgetreilly · 08/02/2020 17:30

Evangeline Kitty is lovely, OP. Good choice.

EstebanTheMagnificent · 08/02/2020 17:16

Love Calista. Evangeline is so pretty but has been ruined for me by the Princess and the Frog.

LangClegsOpinionIsNoted · 08/02/2020 16:02

I love the NN jelly, btw!

MsTSwift · 08/02/2020 15:53

I would fear she would be yet another Eve /Eva. Round here equivalent of calling your child Sarah in the 70s. Every other girl is called either an Eve name or an Isabel related name. Both nice but so bored of now
