International boy names

Hello all,

I'm still not decided on a name for my son, thankfully I have a bit more time to make up my mind !

For work reasons we're likely to live in various countries and I'd definitely like something a bit international (by that I mean a name that could potentially work in many european countries. Especially as we'll most likely all be multilingual.)

So, a few exemples of names I like but can't use for various reasons :

Elias
Matthias
Lucas
Max(ime)
Alexander

All of these work easily in France, Germany, some work fine in Russia, Scandinavia, etc.

Names that definitely will NOT work for me :

  • nothing too specifically regional, no names that work ONLY in the UK or ONLY in a specific country (so no Rafferty, Bodhi, Grayson or Miles please)
  • one syllable names are a no for me, please suggest 2-4 syllables ! (so no Luke or Jay)
  • nothing too classic as I don't like them (names like Thomas or George)
  • I'd prefer to avoid names overly popular but it's not a hard line for me if I otherwise love the name
  • nothing made up or out there, but original is fine. I mean names like Joachim or Geoffrey, which are not so popular atm I think.
  • names with an impossible orthograph lile Hephzibah for instance (I know it's a girl's name, just an exemple to illustrate my meaning !)

I know I'm being very specific but I feel like it's better to narrow it down from the start !

Thanks in advance !

Thanks for the suggestions ! I do love Axel and strongly considering it (despite my brother's name being Alex so a bit worried it might cause confusion).

But please keep making suggestions if anyone has other ideas !
