I adore Florence Green but a nickname would be inevitable!

TulipCat · 08/02/2020 15:32

Florence is lovely, don't go for Teresa Olive though Grin

Namethecat · 08/02/2020 15:27

My grandmother was Florence Ann . It's the best name from your choice.

Florence Green is fab. Was my late DGMs name. Florrie for short. I love Flossie/Floss too.

CountFosco · 07/02/2020 21:20

Theresa has got to be in the running.

For a moment I thought 'didn't see qnyone mention Theresa' then I realised Grin. A friend of mine's surname was Hedge and her DH spent her first pregnancy suggesting unsuitable names like 'Rose'.

FlabberMcBlasted · 07/02/2020 14:09

Theresa has got to be in the running.

I think Florence Green sounds fine.

FizzyGreenWater · 07/02/2020 14:06

Yes, fine - lovely choice!

Cindie943811A · 07/02/2020 12:38

I’d use Flora as a nn.

AlpacaGoodnight · 07/02/2020 12:05

I like it! Also think Emerald Green would be amazing but I suppose she might not!

KoalasandRabbit · 06/02/2020 19:22

Lovely name.

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 06/02/2020 19:20

Don't shorten her name to Florrie or Flossie though, will make her sound like a Victorian maid servant.

Well she won't be the only one, as lots of the most popular names of the last 20 years fit that description - Tilly, Evie, Maisie etc..

SoupDragon · 06/02/2020 19:13

You were right to discount the ones you did but there's nothing wrong with Florence :)

Catlover10 · 06/02/2020 19:11

It’s a lovely name, my sister is called Florence but we call her Florrie Smile

Whatsyourflava · 06/02/2020 16:24

Really lovely!

Marcipex · 06/02/2020 15:41

It’s nice.

DejaVoodoo · 06/02/2020 15:38

Its really good, because (I think!) Florence means blossoming, so it goes well with Green.
Lovely name.

NoSauce · 06/02/2020 13:26

Gorgeous. Love Florence.

BobbyBlueCat · 05/02/2020 21:44

Lovely, unfussy and pretty.

YabaDabaDoo4u · 05/02/2020 05:46

I think it's lovely

Changedname81 · 05/02/2020 05:27

Thanks for all your lovely comments Grin

I feel like a colour on colour surname (Ruby) might not be the best idea but Florence is lovely. A flossie is also a nn for a g-string 😳

norealshepherds · 04/02/2020 22:10

It sounds perfect

DramaAlpaca · 04/02/2020 22:09

I like it a lot.

Istillgetjealous · 04/02/2020 22:08

Don't shorten her name to Florrie or Flossie though, will make her sound like a Victorian maid servant
