A muslim friend of mine has a girl called Ameenah which I think is gorgeous.

sel2223 · 30/01/2020 18:52

I love Miriam! Also, Zehra/Sera, Yasmin and Safiye

Boys names are so much harder! We are looking for Turkish names and struggling with boys....current fave is Aslan.

I love Mai and Fai for girls.

For boys, my favourite is Firas. I also teach a lot of boys named Saif, which I think is lovely.

For boys, I like Ibrahim, Yusuf, and Kamran

BecauseReasons · 30/01/2020 07:26

Oh and Nishita

BecauseReasons · 30/01/2020 07:25

Ah, didn't see your update sorry. As PP said, Zara/Zahra/Zarah is lovely. And Sabina is nice too, also Samirah, Samina, Saairah and Sahiba.

BecauseReasons · 30/01/2020 07:21

Aishah, Nafisa and Khadeeja I like. I also know a Mariam which I think is lovely. Aishahs are usually quite intelligent too, in my experience, as are Hanas (I know a couple of Muslim Hanas, though it's not exclusively a Muslim name). Oh, and I know an Eliza (pronounced E-lee-za). And Tasleem.

For the boys, I like Hassan, but not a fan of Hussein (and they are so often sibling pairs). I also like Abdulqadir, Aryaan and Yusuf.

FennyBridges · 30/01/2020 07:08

I love Aysha. And Aishah and less so Ayesha.

I met a Sakiba recently which I thought was pretty.

I like Hussain. Reminds me of a gorgeous baby boy I sat next to on a long haul flight! He would be about 20 now.

I like Imran too.
