We’ve narrowed it down to 4, I have a favourite but my husband doesn’t but out of the 4 my favourite is his least favourite!!

Vivienne
Grace
Amélie
Poppy

Are the contenders! Any thoughts?

Never mind. Husband has just basically ruled out Vivienne and I’ve ruled out all the others. Back to the drawing board 🙄

Vivienne Blossom

Love Vivienne Marguerite, beautiful
Also Vivienne Iris.

RoseMartha · 24/01/2020 19:21

Amelie Grace is nice

AlpacaGoodnight · 24/01/2020 19:01

Love Vivienne but hate Viv!

emilybrontescorsett · 24/01/2020 18:05

Vivienne.

Urkiddingright · 24/01/2020 12:35

Amelie is one of my favourite films but I think it’s become quite a popular name in recent years which is a shame.

Grace is always quite a lazy name imo, like a ‘couldn’t be bothered thinking of anything else so just used that’.

I’d go with Vivienne.

bridgetreilly · 24/01/2020 10:04

Vivienne Lilac
Vivienne Honeysuckle
Vivienne Hebe
Vivienne Rosemary
Vivienne Zinnia
Vivienne Daphne

bridgetreilly · 24/01/2020 10:03

Vivienne would be my favourite too, OP. Grace and Poppy are fine but a bit dull. I really don't like Amelie (especially with the accent).

Krazynights34 · 23/01/2020 20:57

Vivienne Rose
Vivienne Hazel(?) - not sure
Vivienne Poppy
Vivienne Iris
Vivienne Briony

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/01/2020 20:50

I love Vivienne and like Grace

Lobsterquadrille2 · 23/01/2020 17:27

I was going to say that I only like Grace, but Vivienne Poppy or Daisy sound nice (depending on surname).

Whatsyourflava · 23/01/2020 17:17

Viv Poppy
Viv Rose

Rachel345 · 23/01/2020 16:58

Amélie with the emphasis on é is beautiful!

AdaColeman · 23/01/2020 16:16

Vivienne Marguerite is lovely, also Vivienne Fleur.

Beamur · 23/01/2020 15:54

Deserves something dramatic...
Iris
Erica/Heather
Lilia/Lily
Heliotrope (bit out there)
Fleur
Jasmine
Marguerite
Daisy
Hazel
Willow
Violet
Holly
Blossom
Saffron
Rosemary

kittykat7210 · 23/01/2020 15:38

Thanks for everyone’s responses, my favourite is Vivienne, I think I’m starting to bring my husband round on it! I prefer the longer spelling so it would be Vivienne rather than any other spelling! It’s tradition for us to have a flower as a middle name, does anyone have any flower pairings with Vivienne?

Poppy is cute on a baby / little girl, not so great on an adult woman. The other 3 are all nice. I like Amelie best. What about Grace as the middle name?

MsTSwift · 23/01/2020 14:39

Yes we know two rather large Graces and their name seems cruel somehow

MsTSwift · 23/01/2020 14:37

Vivienne

Amelie and Grace too overused and will date badly

Poppy is a ridiculous name for an adult woman

TatianaLarina · 23/01/2020 14:34

Poppy.

Amélie is over-used and never pronounced properly in English. It’s not Amilly.
Grace is also over-used and it’s one of those names that can mock the owner like Belle and Beau.
Vivienne is ghastly. Bordering on joke name like Veronica.

Aethelthryth · 23/01/2020 14:30

Vivienne and Amelie are ok if you are French; but a bit affected if you are not. Vivien or Amelia would be better.

Grace is nice, if a little over-used.
I like Poppy but I can imagine it lacking gravitas on an adult

DramaAlpaca · 23/01/2020 14:29

Vivienne is by far the nicest, but I'd spell it Vivien as it's less fussy.

Amélie is nice in a French accent, otherwise not so much.

I don't like the 'gr' sound in Grace but it's an OK middle name, if a little boring.

I can't stand Poppy. Cutesy, twee and sounds like a noise, not a name.

Beamur · 23/01/2020 14:27

All pretty. My least favourite of your list is Amelie.
Most favourite is Vivienne. Haven't come across a single child called this and only one adult who uses Vivi (which I think is pretty cool). It's an elegant, classy name.
Poppy and Grace are both nice but quite well used.

Mumbassa · 23/01/2020 14:23

I like Poppy
