I just wondered for anyone called Charlotte, (or knows of any), which shortened version do you/ they go by?
Having a Charlie/ Lottie debate.
OH prefers Charlie. I prefer Lottie.
Trying to figure out which is most popular, or do you find that people call you one or the other regardless of the one you choose to go by?

The teenage one in my family goes by Charlotte or Lottie.

I know 2 Charlotte's mine is Lottie the other is Charlie.

Most go by their full name.

Otherwise Char, Charlie are the most natural shortenings as the emphasis of Charlotte is on the first syllable, Char.

Of the Charlotte’s I know (all adults)
2 called Lottie
1 called Charlotte
1 called Charlie

I know several lotties. I far prefer the full name - it’s only 2 syllables ! And very pretty. I Iike Char (soft ch).
