How would you pronounce...?

Joel.

With two syllables with emphasis on the first and a subtle change to the second - ‘Jo-ul’?

Or ‘Jole’ to rhyme with ‘sole’, ‘role’, etc.?

The second syllable is subtle. It’s nothing like Joelle.

I’ve only ever heard it said Jole to rhyme with role. The pronunciation with two syllables suggested I’d think of being the female name Joelle

Lol. There's always at least one person who just can't comprehend that names may have multiple pronunciations!

I would pronounce it exactly as your first description. Two syllables, but the second one very subtle.

It’s two syllables. Jo-el. Jole is very odd - maybe it’s an American pronunciation. Never heard that.
