Ah I'm not keen, sorry. It manages to be a bit harsh and fussy at the same time somehow. Dan/Dani at the start, so quite masculine, then the ella making it long and fussy at the end!

Also dated.

Lovely name. Timeless. As is Daniella. I am acquainted with someone who has a young daughter called Daniella Siobhan (or Sinead), the child is lovely.

I really like it. We had a Danielle at school a couple of years ago and she was a lovely girl, so I'm biased. I think it's a lovely, classic name though

I know one (in her 20's) and it's not shortened to Dani. It's an okay name and nice to have something a bit different.

I like that it will be very unusual among this generation of kids, while still being a recognisable name that people should know how to spell, pronounce etc. It's a sweet name, all in all.

I think people place too much emphasis on datedness, personally.

I'm not opposed to 'dated' names. I actually love loads of names that were popular in the 80s, think Rachel, Natalie, Laura, Rebecca, Jessica etc. I don't dislike it but I don't love it either. It's ok.

I really dislike it. The Danielles I know are in their 20s-30s. It’s very dated.

I think it's a good name! Very 80's but that is to my style and taste. It's actually a very classic feminization of Daniel, just like Charlotte and Georgia but not as popular. The only thing that would put me off is it's very long!

It is a short enough name that you don't have to accept a NN

Danielle is fine. Very nice. To a woman, they all used Dani as a NN. It's fallen out of fashion in recent years, but the only important thing is that you and anyone whose opinion you value like the name.
