Will be a brother to Charles, what do we think? Two months to go and really struggling. I think I like it but don't love it.

That kid would get sooo bullied as a teen.

Forget that I've changed my mind already just seeing it written down Blush

This may be hormones- what do people
Think of Hugh? I like Hughie, and the softness of Hugh.

Seamus Heaney is my motivation for it, the Heaney's lived in the same village and next farm to my Grandfather, who was always very close to him. I'm also an English teacher, and love his poetry.

Is it too old man, though?

I love it. I like the way it flows with Charles too.

beautifulstranger101 · 16/01/2020 17:56

oooh I really like Shay!

BabloHoney · 16/01/2020 17:55

Love Seamus - not too common, not too out there. Shay is a great nickname!

beautifulstranger101 · 16/01/2020 17:54

It wouldn't sound like an old Scottish fisherman with a wooden leg on a lovely little baby, would it?

I guess not- honestly OP if you like it then go for it! You're going to get a variety of opinions on here- some will love it, others will hate it. But thats the case with all names anyway so go with what you love. That said, sometimes when a baby arrives they dont "fit" the name so i;d pick but keep a bit of an open mind

Sunsetsandmoons · 16/01/2020 17:53

No likey sorry.

CallofDoodee · 16/01/2020 17:53

Do you have an Irish connection - it's slightly strange if you don't but I do quite like it as a name. It's a slightly old man sounding name to me, but that's because the ones I know are that sort of age and I also think of Seamus Heaney the poet.

Aquamarine1029 · 16/01/2020 17:52

It's a hard no from me.

Nay- it sounds like an old scottish fisherman

Mimilamore · 16/01/2020 17:50

I like it... has a soft, cuddly feel...

Ivysaurus · 16/01/2020 17:49

Sorry it reminds me of Seamus from family guy with the wooden leg 😱
How about Edward? I love that for a little boy
