Girls names - opinions please!

I'm currently expecting DC3, definitely the last DC and a first and only girl!
I have 2 DS, isaac and elliot, so looking for a girls name to go with them.
These are the conditions though:
Surname is a very common surname beginning with J so ideally no J names (I don't like alliterative names)
Middle name will likely be Margaret and possibly Elsie for great grandparents
Nothing too popular due to the common surname

My list at the moment

Alice
Matilda
Abigail
Elizabeth
Eleanor (too similar to elliot?)
Martha
Zara
Dorothy
Faye
Penelope
Felicity
Lucy

I'd appreciate any opinions or other suggestions

Thanks!

I think Abigail goes beautifully with your boys' names and isn't too common now. Abigail Margaret [heart eyes]

PlantPotting · 15/01/2020 19:44

Alice or Penelope- both so gorgeous

Marlena1 · 15/01/2020 19:39

Love Abigail, Zara and Faye. Having a name close to DH's would be a positive for me. But I love keeping family names.

Morgan12 · 15/01/2020 19:37

Its gotta be Alice. So beautiful and goes perfect with her brothers names.

17caterpillars1mouse · 15/01/2020 19:35

I really really like Abigail, a classic feelike Isaac and Elliott but one of the lesser used names on your list.

Alice and Matilda seem really popular currently.

I also like Faye, Dorothy and Lucy.

Would avoid Eleanor as nice as it is because of Elliott and also Elizabeth

Lyla

Alice or Penelope

Congratulations. I love both your boys names too Flowers

Elizabeth or Matilda!

Picklepuddingpumpkin · 15/01/2020 19:28

@AcrobaticCardigan I'm clearly showing my age!

I wouldn't say the vowel thing is that important, happy to either way really.

I was thinking of the vowel theme as well, which means Alice, Abigail, Elizabeth or Eleanor from your list. All good names. I'm heavily biased towards Alice, since I have one, but Eleanor is the winner of the four. Lovely name.

Apart from Martha, Zara, Penelope and Dorothy I really like the rest of the names from your list. Felicity especially.

Spied · 15/01/2020 19:19

Alice!

OneKeyAtATime · 15/01/2020 19:17

Elizabeth, Lucy, Faye or Dorothy for me.
You already have two sons with names starting with a vowel. Do you want to keep the tradition or on the contrary avoid or does it not matter?

AcrobaticCardigan · 15/01/2020 18:49

Love Alice and quite like Penelope too! Not keen on the others - most of them are very 80s.

Picklepuddingpumpkin · 15/01/2020 18:32

Thanks for the opinions, it's reassuring to know we're on the right track.

@missyB1
Love the suggestions, although one is very close to my DH name so it'll sound like we've named her after him!

Alice, Matilda, Martha and Penelope are my favourites from your list. Gorgeous names all round!

missyB1 · 15/01/2020 18:23

From your list I love
Alice
Faye
Elizabeth

If you like those names you might also like;
Katherine
Harriet
Clara
Anna
Christina

TheVanguardSix · 15/01/2020 18:22

Isaac, Elliot, and Elizabeth sound great together.

wizzler · 15/01/2020 18:20

Actually I like all of them. Not as keen on Martha or Zara with Margaret as a middle name. Lucy is my favourite. How about Madeleine?
