Thank you everyone for all your help on my last thread.

We decided on Sebastian for a boy.

However if it’s a girl most votes were for Amelie or Emily.

My husband prefers Emily as it’s classic
I do like Emily but feel it’s dated? Amelie is more fresh.

What do you think? Please vote one!

Emily

diddlediddle · 12/01/2020 17:45

Also Amelie is a bit trying to be french but not. Loads of amelias around, it's boring.

Marlena1 · 12/01/2020 17:29

Amelie

VoyageInTheDark · 12/01/2020 17:28

Amelie

YappityYapYap · 12/01/2020 17:22

Oh I agree with Twiggy! Emily but spell it Emilie. That's really nice

YappityYapYap · 12/01/2020 17:21

I vote Emily. I really like Sebastian for a boy, good choice!

twiggy19 · 12/01/2020 17:18

Emily deffo gets my vote 😁 or perhaps shake it up... Emilie? Classic & Fresh 👌

IM0GEN · 12/01/2020 17:18

Emily. It’s classic and Amelie will be dated in a few years.

BorissGiantJohnson · 12/01/2020 17:17

I prefer Emily, but your vagina = your choice!

corcaithecat · 12/01/2020 17:16

Amelie and Amelia are probably the most common names here where I live so on that basis, I’d go for Emily.

diddlediddle · 12/01/2020 17:13

Emily is timeless, where as Amelie feels more trendy/try hard to me (not in a good way). I don't think it sounds fresh to be honest. It's been popular for a few years.

I know some people prefer Emmeline to Emily? I still prefer Emily though. Or actually Emma is my favourite.

20viona · 12/01/2020 17:12

Agree with other poster Emily is so boring.
Amelie is beautiful.

Sleepyquest · 12/01/2020 17:11

Emily is soooo boring

Go with Amelie

MikeUniformMike · 12/01/2020 17:11

I don't like Amelie - it became popular after the film.
Emily is a classic, so my vote is for Emily.

sel2223 · 12/01/2020 17:07

Amelie is beautiful
