I came accross this girls name I had never heard of recently and wonder if people like it. I suppose Renee for short would work well.

Go right ahead...if you want your child to hate you and change it to something less heinous as soon as possible. Why not call her Khaleesi Renesmee Resume Consume!

BreastedBoobilyToTheStairs · 09/01/2020 10:13

The mother was ill for a while and when she came to they'd nicknamed the baby Nessie I think.

'You named my daughter after the LOCH NESS MONSTER?!' Grin

Mamabear88 · 09/01/2020 09:56

It also makes me think of twilight. It's not good.

ODFOx · 09/01/2020 09:45

Even in the books the name was mocked. The mother was ill for a while and when she came to they'd nicknamed the baby Nessie I think.
Don't do it OP.

december20100 · 09/01/2020 09:40

Don't be that cruel.

Sexnotgender · 09/01/2020 09:40

Terrible.

MrsNai · 09/01/2020 09:39

Should I take two Renesmee or does just one settle indigestion?

Defenestratethecat · 09/01/2020 09:38

Oh Lord. Granddaughter of a friend wanted to call her DD Renesmee (big fan of the Twilight films). Luckily for the poor baby her DP vetoed the choice so they went with Ezmee instead Hmm Grin.

SoupDragon · 09/01/2020 09:38

It was a shit name in the books, it would be a shit name in real life.

DesLynamsMoustache · 09/01/2020 09:36

It was the most cringe-worthy part of the books for me, and that is saying something.

user1480880826 · 09/01/2020 09:35

Awful

codenameduchess · 09/01/2020 09:31

I've been subjected to the twilight movies and honestly when they said the baby's name I died a little inside. It's so awful... even for a fictional vampire baby.

Pretty much everyone will assume you're a super fan (and probably judge you, the franchise is pretty widely mocked).

Esme is quite popular too as first and middle names. Totally your choice op, but no child will thank you for naming them renesmee (and I'm not against unusual names).

Fairylea · 09/01/2020 09:30

Twilight. Awful!

OhMeows · 09/01/2020 09:28

Absolutely terrible made up name. Even Twilight fans thought it was ridiculous.

RightOnTheEdge · 09/01/2020 09:26

I read all the Twilight books years ago. I thought it was a stupid name when I read it.

GameSetMatch · 09/01/2020 09:21

It’s awful in my opinion, I’m not keen on those types of names I prefer ordinary, traditional names.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 09/01/2020 09:19

It’s not used much for a reason.

missmarplesapprentice · 09/01/2020 09:18

It was created in the Twilight Saga so as other PP's have said you'll forever be known as a fangirl of the films....and you don't want that (even if you liked the books/films)

SentimentalKiller · 09/01/2020 09:09

GrinGrin

Gottobefree · 09/01/2020 09:09

It's from Twilight. I would avoid

FleetwoodMacMummy · 09/01/2020 09:09

I think it's completely horrendous

GRW · 09/01/2020 09:08

I didn't know it was from Twilight as I haven't read it. On the dark greener baby names website it is rising in popularity but still not used much.

OP posts:
Dandelion1993 · 09/01/2020 09:03

It's from twilight and people will just associate it with that.

Letseatgrandma · 09/01/2020 08:56

You will forever be thought of as a Twilight fangirl. It’s dreadful.

Cohle · 09/01/2020 08:55

You will look like a massive twilight fan girl. That's not personally something I would want.
