I came accross this girls name I had never heard of recently and wonder if people like it. I suppose Renee for short would work well.

I thought I was going to open this thread and find you were a massive twilight fan.

The name is not even a name, it was literally made up by the author of twilight as a combination of Renee and Esme. I love unusual names but without twilight it doesnt even exist and (in my opinion) it's not even a nice sounding name lol

I'd go back to the drawing board if I was you OP. Sorry.

Esme is lovely. Renee is a bit out west brothel, and Renesmee, made up for the Twilight baby is dreadful

Go for Esme . If you call a child Renee she will have people of a certain age humming /singing Don't walk away Renee at her for the rest of her life. I always have to restrain myself when I meet a Lola, or a Caroline, an Elaine, a Jude...........

Unless you're a celeb, don't do it. Its absolutely awful. You will people sniggering at how you've tried too hard to be unique and out-there, but come across as a super-chav.

I know someone from school who called her DD Heavenleigh and I cringe every time I her mention it on FB.

I think the author who wrote twilight and therefore made renesmee up said even she wouldn't call her child it and hoped nobody else would (I'm pretty certain I read that somewhere, though cant validate it).

It was a really horribly stupid name in the Twilight series.

It’s awful, don’t use it! Plus everyone will assume you’re a crazy twilight super fan.
