We would like a longer name but can’t decide so would like some suggestions in case we’ve missed any. Current front runners are Rosalie or Rosanna.

Thanks!

I heard someone call a child rosie today and thought To myself at the time rosalie would be a lovely name.

But after coming on the thread to write rosalie, im loving primrose. Ive taught a primrose before. Lovely girl.

Rosalina

Rosalia

Go for Rosie. It is a great name on its own. It is such a pain having a "proper" name that you aren't known by. Rosie is lovely! And these days I think it passes the "professional role" test.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (oh - well - posh model/actress!)

I think Rosa is nice. Rosalie always reminds me of a Cath Kidston fabric.

I hadn't heard of Rosalie before this thread but its lovely

Peaseblossom22 · 06/01/2020 22:58

Rosalie

I had the same, wanting a "Full" name on the birth cert. DD is Rosalie, known as Rosie/Rose. Interestingly she is 6 and always introduce herself by her full name!

I think Rosalie is a flexible name with the more serious classic nickname of Rose and the more playful Rosie, so depending on where life takes her it will suit.

TheJoxter · 06/01/2020 22:52

Rosalie is my favourite though

TheJoxter · 06/01/2020 22:51

Rosalie, Rosemary, Rosalind, Rosamund

Tillygetsit · 06/01/2020 22:48

I wanted to call my first dd Rosanna. Exh didnt like it so we compromised. Still a bit wistful. That's my fave by a country mile.

iforgotthatyouexisted · 06/01/2020 22:47

I love Rosalie and Primrose. I also really like Rosy rather than Rosie.

I love Rosalie. Hubby wouldn’t let me have it Hmm

Echobelly · 06/01/2020 21:34

Rosamund or Rosalind are both nice - the latter is a good Shakespeare reference and a bit unusual.

Glittercandle · 06/01/2020 21:32

I love Primrose and Rose - not so keen on the other longer Rose names.

NellyTimes · 06/01/2020 21:25
