I previously posted asking opinions on the names Ada and Jessica for baby girl due March however this name has now popped into my list.....

Thoughts on the name and which spelling would you go for ?

Lowest of the low here, my daughter is named Casey, only issue we had was with her speech problems she pronounced it Katie.

Changedname81 · 06/01/2020 17:03

I really want to like it but it reminds me of Casey Anthony 😬

I'd go with Jessica, agree with pp, Kasie etc. is very downmarket.

7Worfs · 06/01/2020 14:59

Reminds me of when I tried to find a colleague’s email in the address book. I couldn’t... the spelling of her name was Cayce 😶

Go with Ada.

Lol ok @NearlyGranny, stay calm....

Heck, if you're going that route, go all out for Kaci, KC, Ka'cee or Cay*see.

Why hold back? Make certain the adult DC is spelling it out to incredulous strangers every day for the rest of their life and growing their hair to cover the name badge work will give them.

Flymetothestars · 06/01/2020 14:29

Sounds downmarket to me too
Tracey-ish

Love Ada and Jessica though

I went to school with both a Casey and a Kacy. The Kacy was American. Both girls. Not a name you hear that often, but I like it. I also work with a female Casey.

ilovemykids5 · 06/01/2020 11:18

Kacie

MikeUniformMike · 06/01/2020 10:55

Casey is the only ok spelling. I'd think it was a boy too, although I know of two girl Caseys (one with yoonique spelling), and one boy.

nicannie · 06/01/2020 10:52

Thank you for your responses, I heard it in a film yday and kept running it through my head, I couldn't decide if I liked it or not!! But I guess I was right my original two shortlisted names were better :) Thanks everyone

Awful. Ada is lovely. Jessica is fine.

FluffyEggsontoast · 06/01/2020 10:47

Very downmarket
People will judge (I’m sorry I’d love to say I wouldn’t but I would 🙈). It depends if you care or not x

FluffyEggsontoast · 06/01/2020 10:46

Horrible. Really bad
Ada and Jessica are lovely though

Clangus00 · 06/01/2020 10:31

Casey, but I consider it to be a boy’s name.
Jessica is much nicer.

percheron67 · 06/01/2020 10:19

I wouldn't use it whatever the spelling. Unimaginative and boring. Likewise Stacey.
