Just that, which spelling do you like best? I would think Graham is the more common? Would he forever have to spell it if the other was used?

Do you live in Scotland or England?

If you live in the US or Canada use neither. They can't say it.

Obsidian77 · 03/01/2020 21:23

Graeme.
Don't like the 'ham' bit.

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/01/2020 21:23

I prefer Graham, it seems the more natural spelling

fridaseyebrows · 03/01/2020 21:21

Depends on where you are - I have a Celtic background and prefer Graeme. Think if you are in England Graeme will seem odd though, and vice versa if in Scotland. I know lots of Graeme’s and Grahams - all pronounced the same

HairyToity · 03/01/2020 21:12

Graham

DramaAlpaca · 03/01/2020 21:02

I'd pronounce them the same. Graham is marginally better.

BackforGood · 03/01/2020 21:01

Outside of Scotland, I'd say Graham - simply because that is the normal spelling unless you have Scottish heritage.
In Scotland, more likely to be Graeme, I'd have thought.

Katfood · 03/01/2020 20:55

Graham is better known imo

MopsRUs · 03/01/2020 20:51

I prefer the Graham spelling.

RoseMartha · 03/01/2020 20:42

Graham

partofyoupoursoutofme · 03/01/2020 20:41

Definitely prefer Greame, there's one in my family and we call him greemee as a nickname. It's very cute!

Surreyhillsbutnobike · 03/01/2020 20:04

Both pronounced the same. Graeme is the scottish spelling.

HoratioNightboy · 03/01/2020 19:58

I suppose it depends where you live. I'm in Scotland and know more Graemes than Grahams, and I would always ask which spelling whenever I need to write it.

AndAnotherNameChanger · 03/01/2020 16:30

Graham

TatianaLarina · 03/01/2020 16:25

Neither.

Katfood · 03/01/2020 15:23

I say them differently - Grey-um and Graime.

Me too.

I prefer Graham.

MikeUniformMike · 03/01/2020 13:50

I say them differently - Grey-um and Graime.
I prefer Graham, and suspect that people might try to spell Graeme as Grahamme - I used to work with a Graeme and the dept's secretary used to spell it like that.
