Do you like the name Seven for a girl?

My husband and I are curious as to how the first name Seven would be for a girl. The number is significant to us biblically and means the number of completeness, as she will be completing our family. There are many other reasons behind Seven.

Is it too out there, or is it cool?

Thanks for any input! Smile

Cool?
No
And anyway, who wants a cool name?

Ollypollydolly · 30/12/2019 08:32

@GrannyBags seven/seventh etc is used over 850 times in the bible so it’s considered a special number as it’s used so much

MirriMazDuur · 30/12/2019 08:31

She will get people raising their eyebrows her entire life.

AlessandraBumbrosio · 30/12/2019 08:31

No no and no.

Besidesthepoint · 30/12/2019 08:31

Would you want to be a number?

GrannyBags · 30/12/2019 08:28

What is the biblical significance of 7? Could you find another name connected with that?

I instantly thought of the Beckhams.

VerbenaGirl · 30/12/2019 08:28

I like it, but I think the reactions above do give an indication of what you might be up against. It could maybe be a wonderful middle name?

ElizabethMainwaring · 30/12/2019 08:26

Steven?

Posieandjosie · 30/12/2019 08:25

I like the sound of it and spelling but the fact it’s a number is a no.
Really puts paid to ‘I’m not a number’

hidinginthenightgarden · 30/12/2019 08:24

I think people are being a bit harsh but it probably isn't a good idea.
Seren is close but I also think the numer in another language would work.

Equanimitas · 30/12/2019 08:22

Remember The Prisoner? "I am not a number, I'm a free man!"

Don't do it to her.

Ceejly · 30/12/2019 08:22

Bad idea. How about the French name Séverine? Pronounced -Sev-eh-reen- thn Seven could be a nickname.

lovelyupnorth · 30/12/2019 08:20

No. Think of the children.

Aposterhasnoname · 30/12/2019 08:20

I like it.

Elindab · 30/12/2019 08:20

No.

Bluerussian · 30/12/2019 08:19

No

rainbowstardrops · 30/12/2019 08:18

I like it but not sure I'd be brave enough to use it as a first name. Middle name definitely.

Aerielview · 30/12/2019 08:17

It's a number, not a name. You say that the number has biblical significance for you - there are many beautiful names in the Bible that you could choose from instead

AvengingGerbil · 30/12/2019 08:16

Every Strictly fan will do a Len Goodman impression and say ‘SeVEEEEERN’ (in their heads if they are polite, out loud if not....)

I love what prettypurple feather said

Absolutely no

Imagine the 7/8/9 jokes.

GaaaaarlicBread · 30/12/2019 08:10

I wouldn’t use it but if it’s got meaning to you then why not ? Maybe use a different version of it so like Greek being Epta , or Spanish Sette . Just an example x

A horrible, sexist old joke:

“Why are you called Seven?”
“That’s how many shots it took to get my mum into bed”
