Do you like the name Seven for a girl?

My husband and I are curious as to how the first name Seven would be for a girl. The number is significant to us biblically and means the number of completeness, as she will be completing our family. There are many other reasons behind Seven.

Is it too out there, or is it cool?

Thanks for any input! Smile

Poor kid. Have you thought of a middle name yet 7/11?

Jayteedee · 11/01/2020 22:14

Saba is seven in Swahili - I think it's a v cool name and more 'acceptable'

ginandgingers92 · 05/01/2020 06:52

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor I agree, love the name Sunday/Sundai.

Chienloup · 05/01/2020 00:20

I have a friend (in her 30s) called Seven. For the same reasons as you. It's a lovely name and really suits her. Go for it.

cricketmum84 · 05/01/2020 00:19

Reminds of the film sorry.

OhMsBeliever · 05/01/2020 00:18

Dammit. I wanted my last pregnancy to be triplet girls. Because then we would have had 9 children in total and I wanted to call them Seven (of Nine), Octavia and Nona.

Unfortunately (or most probably fortunately considering I already had toddler twins, plus 2 older and the stepchildren) it was one baby boy. Grin

But yes, Seven is a great name if you are a Star Trek fan.

SciFiScream · 05/01/2020 00:14

Like Seven of Nine from Star Trek Voyager!!

Cool name

I know a Seven.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 05/01/2020 00:11

Sunday is a lovely girl's name imo.

Buttercup54321 · 05/01/2020 00:09

It is a number not a name. Just as well call her Sunday or Sabbath.
Choose a proper name the poor kid wont be embarrassed by.

nowaypose · 03/01/2020 15:14

No, it’s a number. Is this inspired by the Beckham’s daughter? It is at least her middle name rather than first.

BathshebaKnickerStickers

Blossom’s best friend was called Six

That was the number of beers it took for her father to have sex with her mother 😂

I'm sure someone's suggested this, and I've just missed it, but here's 138 names meaning 'complete'. You have to scroll down a bit too find the list though.

inanothertime I think of that Seinfeld clip every time I see a ridiculous name thread on here 🤣

Ohyesiam · 01/01/2020 17:53

You might do better thinking about the experience of the child, rather than what is significant for you.

MotherOfAllChristmases · 01/01/2020 17:51

Serren is nicer. Imo.

CaramelMama · 01/01/2020 17:50

Its a lovely name, regardless of it been a number if its personal to you go for it. I quite like it, my mum had 7 kids so would have quite suited the last one.

CruCru · 01/01/2020 15:50

Gemma is nice - I've met a couple in their twenties and they were nice people.

Teal isn't to my taste.

Engard · 31/12/2019 22:08

It's too "Stranger Things" where children are given a name

ginandgingers92 · 31/12/2019 10:08

Makes me think of Eleven from Stranger Things...

needsahouseboy · 31/12/2019 10:07

Really horrible murder film

Tombliwho · 31/12/2019 10:07

What do you have against actual names rather than colours and numbers?!

Lordfrontpaw · 31/12/2019 10:06

Lucky he didn’t play ‘TwentyThree’
