Where I live there is a girl called Mayley, (Pronounced like Hayley but with an M) which I had never heard before but I have fallen in love with. What unusual names do you love?

My children all have very traditional, English names. They are beautiful and solid but damn sometimes I wish I had been bolder!

Easter

It is on my family tree from the 16th century.

I would have chosen it as a middle name for one of my DDs if I’d have heard it before they were born!

Hahha I was thinking more the measure of light, but you’ve got me... no kids named after bowels or innards Blush

Persephione · 28/12/2019 20:48

I feel like I might be judged for some of these but I think they are super beautiful, no idea if I will be brave enough to use them though!

@custardbear I'm glad you saw that too! All I can imagine when I see Lumen written down is the lumen of a blood vessel.

Ritascornershop · 28/12/2019 16:51

I think Briar is lovely. Not sure if it’s that uncommon anymore. Also Petula, though I’m not sure anyone would agree with me.

custardbear · 28/12/2019 08:57

Knew someone called Barley which was lovely

Like Tate and Lucien for a boy

custardbear · 28/12/2019 08:55
