Festive baby name help!

Hello everyone,

Looking for some urgent baby name help!

Our little girl unexpectedly arrived 3 weeks early just after midnight today.

We had chosen the name Eve (we just love it) Cairistìona (pronounced like Christina, family name) for her, but I feel like we can’t call a Christmas Eve baby Eve Cairistìona!

It’s important to us that we keep Cairistìona, but would you suggest changing Eve? And what to? The other name we loved was Merryn but we ruled that out because of the “Merry Christmas” thing, so I don’t feel we can use that.

I like Meg (but not Megan) or maybe Wren (too out there?) We’d prefer something quite short and simple because of the long complicated middle name.

She is teeny and very dark-haired and olive-skinned (she is quite jaundiced though).

Anything else we might like please, and any thoughts on Meg or Wren?

I love Eve, If I had an Xmas baby I would choose Robyn.

flatoutpanic · 24/12/2019 16:05

Congratulations!

I love your names and think they’re perfect, not at all twee.

Most people who she comes across in life aren’t going to know her birthday anyway, they’ll just hear a lovely name.

Congratulations!

Eve is a beautiful name.

My son is 3 today, Christmas Eve babies are magical. The build up to Christmas is that much more special.

Stick with your chosen name. Or how about Natalia?

JustASmallTownCurl · 24/12/2019 15:22

I'm a christmas(ish) baby with a Christmas name and I love it!

Eve is absolutely gorgeous and it's really sweet she even fits with the date.

Hopefully you can see by the responses on here that even if people notice the connection with the date they'll just think it's even more lovely!

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 24/12/2019 15:21

I would keep Eve it’s lovely. I wouldn’t make the associated between the name and Christmas even unless you pointed it out.

Huge congratulations. What a lovely early Christmas gift! X

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 24/12/2019 15:21

Beautiful name, congratulations! We have Christina as one of dds middle names, also a family name, and I think it’s due a comeback, such a pretty sounding name

seeyoubugaboo · 24/12/2019 15:20

It's perfect

TinklyLittleLaugh · 24/12/2019 15:20

Robyn?

TinklyLittleLaugh · 24/12/2019 15:19

Natalie, Holly, Noelle?

I was a Christmas baby but I don’t have a Christmas name. I think it would have been nice to have one.
