Just wondering what unusual ‘only met one’ names people had come across in their lives?

@wellingtonsandwaffles Do you actually know all those? Because I'm pretty sure that L-a is an urban myth.

I'm a teacher so have known many unusually named children. Schmabe has to be the most unusual.

There was an Achilles in DD1 baby swim class.

We also know a Dempsey, a Forest, and in fact DD1 is only 1/16 children born in 2015 with that name.

IM0GEN · 23/12/2019 23:27

I know a Lalage but she pronounces it La La Jay

RickOShay · 23/12/2019 23:26

Huckleberry

wellingtonsandwaffles · 23/12/2019 23:26

Amour Amour, sister Nor Amour
BeaJay - “BJ” (his parents names smushed together into an unfortunate acronym)
L-A “ledasha”, ultimate punctuation fan
KVIIIlyn - “Kaitlyn”, of the Roman numerial variety

Some of my favourite terrible ones I’ve come across!

bananahood · 23/12/2019 23:25
