Just wondering what unusual ‘only met one’ names people had come across in their lives?

I went to summer camp with a girl called Bunny Love. One of the leaders called her mum up because he thought the girl was taking the piss and had put a pretend name down on her forms but her mum was like “errr no, that’s her name”

ThighThighOfthigh · 24/12/2019 11:16

I met a Richarda which I think is lovely.

Also a Sharna (white British)

PrincessFionasShoe · 24/12/2019 11:10

I remember reading this one in take a break and it made me laugh.

Blessing - such a lovely lady, she was one of DH's nurses

I went to school with a girl called Richenda, never heard anyone else with that name.

Notsure94 · 24/12/2019 11:06

Yeller
Zayo (My child can't pronounce it so calls him Mayo!)
A'Luna - Quite pretty time be fair 🌛
Lacey-April
Viga - Pronounced Veya

Not sure how it's allowed to be honest

BikeRunSki · 24/12/2019 11:01

“Babe” = “name” !

BikeRunSki · 24/12/2019 11:00

I taught a Song once. The best babe I have ever come across is Comfort Golightly, who is far more masculine than his name might suggest.

ThighThighOfthigh · 24/12/2019 11:00

I met a Cheyenne Raine - if she'd been a boy she was going to be Cherokee Rebel.

Divebar · 24/12/2019 10:56

I quite like Misty. I’ve come across a
Sunshine
Atilla
Harley-Blue.

jeremypaxo · 24/12/2019 10:56

@silverotter I know a Corin! He's lovely Smile

ThighThighOfthigh · 24/12/2019 10:53

95% percent of the peoples names I've mentioned are white British or white American.

Met a Gaeleene (white Oz)

ThighThighOfthigh · 24/12/2019 10:50

And a Misty.

yellowallpaper · 24/12/2019 10:50

Oakley-Fox. Seriously?

Realtimes · 24/12/2019 10:50

I’ve read this thread a light relief as I’m getting a bit obsessed trying to find a name. Jenna Taylor and Shaun Lamb are a good laugh.
But most of these comments are really actually racist if people had understanding of other cultures.
Hope there’s a thread on Jamaican Mumsnet laughing at all the Evie’s, Albie’s and Archie’s and samey sounding names found in the white middle class over here.

ThighThighOfthigh · 24/12/2019 10:49

I met a Bambi Smith.

Mulledwineinajug · 24/12/2019 10:49

Minion

Shesalittlemadam · 24/12/2019 10:47

Bronte - Without the é Hmm

ThighThighOfthigh · 24/12/2019 10:46

I've never met a Joy who wasn't totally miserable.

ThighThighOfthigh · 24/12/2019 10:45

I love the African names, i met a nurse called Comfort who actually was quite taciturn.

Bbq1 · 24/12/2019 10:41

Byron
Job
Armani

Lunde · 24/12/2019 10:40

I was watching a gymnastics competition from the US where one of the competitors was called eMjae it was a bit disappointing that it was pronounced MJ.

I went to language classes with an Innocent - I don't know if he found it problematic being a 6' 3 man!
