Rufus is gorgeous.
Dominic would be next for me.
Reuben
Vincent

LTEMercedes · 23/12/2019 14:41

I like Vincent as it can be shortened to Vin or Vinnie

Starfish83 · 23/12/2019 13:48

P.S - It’s the original OP - have just changed name as had forgotten account details! 🙈

Starfish83 · 23/12/2019 13:47

Thanks so much for all the thoughts so far! Dominic seems to be the favourite and Rufus seems to really divide people - absolutely loved by some but really disliked by others! 😬

Fairybobbin · 23/12/2019 02:59

Dominic

Boireannachlaidir · 22/12/2019 22:10

Vincent is a great strong name.

Rufus reminds me of a dog name too.
Reuben sounds like an oddball and Dominic is too drippy for me. He'd likely be called Nic without the k, I just don't like it.

AlpacaGoodnight · 22/12/2019 19:59

Vincent!

itssquidstella · 22/12/2019 19:12

Dominic
Rufus
Vincent

Reuben

In that order. I'm really not keen on Reuben but like all the others. What about Victor? Similar to Vincent but I prefer it.

alexdgr8 · 22/12/2019 19:08

and why do some people have to use foul language , quite gratuitously, esp when discussing something as inoffensive and celebratory as the naming of a child. you can surely express your preferences without swearing. it is like being slapped suddenly by a stranger for no reason at all.

kitk · 22/12/2019 18:41

My grandfather was Vincent. I'd love to honour him if I had a boy

alexdgr8 · 22/12/2019 18:41

I think Dominic or Vincent,
they are both good solid names with fine pedigrees and heroic people to read about. I'm guessing you are catholic. as they are very strong from saints' names. whether or not, they are fitting in any circle.
Sorry but reuben for me is associated with travellers, hill-billies types, so quaint it's almost a bit disturbing, like the film in a rural setting where everyone turns to stare at a newcomer in the pub.
rufus sounds like a rough uncivilised man with shaggy red beard.

bluebellation · 22/12/2019 18:40

Rufus
Reuben
Dominic
Vincent

But I'm of an age when the name Vince conjures up a wide-boy, spiv type character (yes, I appreciate those are terms you might not be familiar with, that's how old I am Grin)

RoseMartha · 22/12/2019 18:35

Dominic

I am not keen on the others

SirVixofVixHall · 22/12/2019 18:35

Dominic, unless he has red hair, then Rufus.

SillyUnMurphy · 22/12/2019 18:30

I’d go with Rufus. I’ve never been keen on Dominic for some reason.

HotSince82 · 22/12/2019 18:29

Rufus is just awful, sorry.

The others are all quite nice though.
Reuben is the best.

misspiggy19 · 22/12/2019 18:27

Reuben

Vincent is boring

CassandrasCastle · 22/12/2019 18:24

Reuben is so lovely

NationMcKinley · 22/12/2019 18:14

Reuben

MikeUniformMike · 22/12/2019 18:10

Dominic Cummings is enough to put anyone off

ncqtime · 22/12/2019 18:09

Rufus

LindaCallahan2006 · 22/12/2019 18:08

Excuse me, but why n the actual fuck would you even consider naming your child Rufus? It is a child not a motherfucking dog!! Name it Dominic for heaven's sake!!!

TooGood2BTrue · 22/12/2019 17:50

Dominic

Petrichor11 · 22/12/2019 17:40
