Romy or Valentina???

Hi Smile

Two very different names!
Brothers name is Sebastian and our surname is Deschanel (pronounced Day-Chanel). I’m torn on what name to go with. Do you have a preference?
Romy or Valentina ?

I love Valentina! Beautiful and international.

Romy sounds unfeminine (like Tommy) and reminds me of the game Rommé.

Heard someone calling their daughter Val the other day which made me cringe... she later called her her full name, Valentina. I think Valentina is nice but Val may be inevitable!

Valentina "Leni" Deschanel... gorgeous!!

I like Romy as well but Valentina, with Leni as a nickname was my choice for DS2 had he been a girl.

I prefer Valentina as a name. You can shorten to Valya or Valenka which are some of the Russian diminutives.

Valentina is lovely! Vale (pronounced Vall - eh) for short, like the Italian short form. Agree Tina isn't good though.
