I can't see decide which way around I like these names...

(Farrah being the surname)

Jack Owen Farrah
Or
Owen Jack Farrah

Please help. OH prefers Jack Owen at the mo but I think that is because he is embarrassed of the rugby reference to Owen Farrel! OH is known as Faz the same as Farrel is Wink but I think with the world cup gone now that reference will be a thing of the past
Please help as I love both names!

Jack Owen

MikeUniformMike · 25/12/2019 18:04

Thomas Owen F* - love Tommy.

AlpacaGoodnight · 22/12/2019 20:04

Prefer Jack to Owen

BalloonDinosaur · 21/12/2019 06:46

Prefer Owen personally, I don't know any young Owen's and as PP have said, Jack is very popular. Owen Thomas sounds good to me!

HopScotchHop · 21/12/2019 06:41

Definitely Owen. I know an incredible amount of Jacks under 5!!!

Astronica · 20/12/2019 22:49

I much prefer Jack over Owen.

Daisydoola · 20/12/2019 22:34

I thought rugby straight away

I'd go for Thomas.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 20/12/2019 22:10

Owen Jack/Thomas

I have an Owen so am totally biased Smile

CorBlimeyGovenor · 20/12/2019 21:59

Jack owen

PlantPotting · 20/12/2019 21:59

Yes Tommy is a nice name

Shellchar · 20/12/2019 21:57

@namechange30 I'm from a big family & we already have a James in it Smile

@spied agreed! Owen Thomas is lovely

Owen Jack but really like Owen Thomas.

NameChange30 · 20/12/2019 21:37

What about James? It's also popular but it's such a lovely name (and a bit less popular than Jack).

Shellchar · 20/12/2019 21:15

His name is Charlie & I'm fully free that is also a really common name. I do like simple, traditional boys names.

Some of you clearly don't live with a rugby fan/player!

@BikeRunSki that's a bit how I feel about the name Jack, I agree, it is everywhere. Owen has always been my preference

Boys are not hard, plenty of lovely boys' names.

Just choose the name you like best as a first name. Personally I think Jack and Thomas are a bit boring (although they are perfectly good classic names) so I'd go for Owen. Keep considering other names too. You could have a shortlist of 2 or 3 and decide when baby is born.

It sounds as if you already have DC - what are their names?

BikeRunSki · 20/12/2019 20:27

Owen Jack. About 25% of the males under 25 I know are called Jack! I have an 11 year old DS, I’m a Cub leader and I work in construction, I know a lot of men/boys, abd a lot of Jacks. Only 1 Owen.

Never heard of Owen Farrell.

IckleBear · 20/12/2019 20:22

Jack Owen

itsgettingweird · 20/12/2019 20:18

Thomas Jack or Jack Thomas are nicer.

He's likely to be a TJ if you do it that way round though - my sons ended up being that! He's Thomas Joseph!

Shellchar · 20/12/2019 18:49

Lol if I was to use Thomas, I would do away with Owen & Jack all together! Boys are hard, lets hope I have a girl this time 😄

MrsBertBibby · 20/12/2019 18:33

Jack Thomas = John Thomas! Nooooo!

MrsBertBibby · 20/12/2019 18:32

Thomas is a great name. Tommy is cute and Tom is sexy af.

Owen Jack better than Jack Owen, but Thomas is better than both.

bizzey · 20/12/2019 18:31

Jack Thomas goes well together .

81Byerley · 20/12/2019 18:30

Jack Farrah? Jack Sparrow?

scarednamechange · 20/12/2019 18:02

I don’t think it’s odd at all but I think Thomas is so much better. Tommy on its own is a bit childish and weak.

Shellchar · 20/12/2019 17:59

Is it weird to use a version of your dad's name on a child? My dad's name is Tom & I love the name Tommy but don't know if that would be odd?
