Honest thoughts please on Saskia?

DD2 arriving next week, it hasn’t even been on our radar until last week but I keep thinking about it now and it’s growing on me.

emilybrontescorsett · 20/12/2019 22:03

Great name.

RoseMartha · 20/12/2019 15:01

I like it

Modernhistorybuff · 20/12/2019 14:50

I like it. I absolutely don't think it's "very posh" but I think it's pretty and strong at the same time.

1920s · 20/12/2019 13:40

This name always makes me think of Saskia mineral water, but it's not really a bad or a good association. Just a neutral one.

HeadlessGummyBears · 20/12/2019 13:17

Ace! Love it.

Moraliee · 18/12/2019 17:07

This is a fab name that isn't used often so feels quite unique.
It's strong and different.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 18/12/2019 16:19

AS a child I knew tqo sisters Saskia and nardine or as my brother called them nastier and Sardine.

peardrops1 · 15/12/2019 20:48

V posh!

Bobbiepin · 15/12/2019 20:32

I knew an absolutely awful Saskia once but I love the name so much I would use it if it didn't rhyme with DD1's name

PlantPotting · 15/12/2019 20:32

Great name

Omashu · 15/12/2019 20:29

Love it! I’ve noticed it always gets a great reception on here. I’d love to use it but it sounds too similar to my dd’s name!

tamarisk44 · 15/12/2019 19:30

Really nice!

MrsNoMopp · 15/12/2019 19:24

To me it sounds breezy and confident.

MerryGrinch · 15/12/2019 19:01

It was on my shortlist of 3. It didn't make the cut as I didn't think it worked with my other dcs name so go for it!

Nextyear · 15/12/2019 18:24

Love it. DS2 would’ve been Saskia if he’d been a girl

Lidlfix · 15/12/2019 18:11

Lovely. As a secondary teacher I can be put off names for life. Unusual (but not in a trying too hard way) as I have only taught one in many years . She was also clever, humble, resilient and kind. So Saskias will always have positive associations for me.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 15/12/2019 18:09

A bit try hard "posh"

daisypond · 15/12/2019 18:06

I like it

SquigglePigs · 15/12/2019 18:05

Lovely name! An uncommon without being too out-there.
