Middle name for Callie

Finding this a little tricky because my other top first names don’t really seem to go as they’re too similar e.g - Alice. I think staying away from names with L in would be best (though I love a lot of names like that!). Also starting with a consonant so the 2 names don’t flow together too much. Would like to avoid “ie” end sounding middle names too so it’s not too twee sounding overall.

Any suggestions welcome Smile

Callie Ellen, I'm due in April and it's one of the possibilities if we have a girl

Divebar · 09/12/2019 14:08

It depends on how long the surname is though.... if it’s a longer syllable surname I would go with the shorter middle name. Presumably you won’t actually be calling her by her first and middle name in everyday life?

xChristmasJumperx · 09/12/2019 13:23

I know what you mean, with ashorter name it is like billie-rae , ellie-mae
A longer name changes that.

hannahfaith · 08/12/2019 17:41

Saw someone else in the thread say this too but Callie Margaret sounds lovely.

I'm from the USA so I personally am not a fan of Callie with a one syllable middle name as it makes me think very southern double barreled (not a bad thing but just preference)

Callie Margaret and Callie Olivia are beautiful. Something long to balanced the short sounds in Callie

These are all really helpful - thank you. Quite a range here.

PP - Yes I don’t mind an L being in the middle name so you’re right something like Florence does work, much better than something like Lola or Lily
