Son is getting registered Friday and me and boyfriend agreed on Reece James for about a week or 2 and we were calling him it but now he's decided he doesn't like that name and wants to call him something else. Adam was on our list when I was pregnant but he doesn't look like an Adam and I don't really like it.

Any suggestions.

Names that are used in the family Alex, Corey, Freddie, Harry, Jordan, Luke, Owen, Riley, Thomas, William and Zack.

Fraser James is just lush

Rhys is also nice but not sure if partner would agree. Also like Edward nn Ed/Eddie/Ted and Artie.

I like your idea of Ben too. Classic but not too many of them around

MeMeMeYou · 04/12/2019 20:25

What about Rhys instead of Reece? The different spelling makes it much nicer for me! I like Adam too. My names on my list were

Robert shortened to Bertie or Robbie
Ewan
Fergus
Edward shortened to Ted or Ed
Arthur shortened to Art or Artie

Jack is cool but what about Jackson if you don’t like Jack? @Nightfli

Carter? Parker?

I have an Adam James. Love it. And a Luke.
Also like Evan, Zachary, Dominic, Edward, Benjamin, Isaac.

David James

Nightfli · 04/12/2019 19:13

Like Leo, Fraser and Max. I also like Blake but not sure if Blake James goes. His dad said he wants to call him Jack but then we'd have to change the middle name and I don't like Jack that much.

He also likes Brandon but not sure it goes with middle and last name.

Just don't use a name you don't like - ie don't compromise on Adam - take the time you need.

You don't need a name to register the baby. Don't name him in a hurry as you might regret it.

How about James but call him Jamie? Would sound better with your surname. James Adam S s. Nice!

Leopardprintboots · 04/12/2019 12:04

James is a gorgeous classic name @Nightfli much more classic than any of my suggestions - you could always use the nickname Jamie if you’re worried about the S at the end but I really don’t think it matters too much. 90% of the time people only use your first name
