Middle name for Gertrude

I’m expecting a baby girl soon and quite like the name Gertrude. The only problem is that I can’t find a middle name that suits it. Please help!

Gertrude is lovely and just right for a comeback in the same way Ada and Agatha have. It has that antiquated fairy dust sort of feel, like Gretal, Prunella, Aurora, Love it!

I think a slightly frilly softer middle name, would complement it better than a short one.

Yes, I don't even know where that comes from but it's powerfully embedded in my brain. Some horrible 70s comedian I expect.

I don’t think I’d like it if my parents had called me Gertrude. They might, but I wouldn’t like to live with it. Is there any reason for it, or is it a joke name?

Sorry but Gert-Rude. Dirty Gertie. It's not a kind name to give to a child.

So, something nice for a middle name, that she can use instead.

Can be shortened to Trudy/Trude. A lovely unusual name!

I like Anna/Hannah or Joy for a middle name.

Definitely something short but I'd really reconsider Gertrude. Im not trying to be mean in any way but it's kind of an ugly looking name if that makes any sense. I'm off to hide nowBlush
