Isabel. My sisters name drives me mad any other spelling (irrational I know)

I prefer Isabelle as it seems less dated than Isobel. My Grandmother had a lot of friends called Isobel!

Isobel.

If you're Scottish it's usually Isobel (or Iseabail if you're a Gaelic speaker). If you're English it's usually Isabel. If you're Irish it's Isibéal. If you're French it's generally Isabelle.

I love an O in a name so it would be Isobel for me. It's just such a pleasing name to write.

I would have had isobel or Isobal as others say no need for frilly ending

Isabelle

Isabelle is by far the more frequently used spelling so I’d definitely go with that xx

Minty82 · 22/11/2019 21:13

Isabel is an option too, and would probably be my preferred choice. I find the ‘elle’ ending a bit unnecessarily frilly.

Notsurehowtofixit · 22/11/2019 21:11
