Are any of these names chavvy?

Sorry for the goady title, I'll probably get flamed for using the term 'chavvy' but I just need to know if I'm setting my future child up for a lot of judgement. People do judge others for their names after all. So we have:

Summer
Lydia
Elise
Autumn
Aurelia

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Celeste is a beautiful name! Also love Felicity.

NotaWagon · 17/11/2019 18:56

Well mine certainly isn't. But the Roman inspiration has always been there to draw from and yet it took a Disney film to make the name popular.

So, Despair away! I still think the name is DREADFUL and it is the one name from OP's list that makes me want to answer ''YES''

TatianaLarina · 17/11/2019 18:51

Aurelia is very Disney

I despair of cultural associations on here. It’s very Roman.

Not everyone’s life is dominated by Disney.

NotaWagon · 17/11/2019 17:47

Autumn is not a name really

NotaWagon · 17/11/2019 17:47

Aurelia is very Disney and therefore I think yes in answer to your question.

@cocomelon23 Have you considered that the name Elise existed long before cars were invented? HmmConfused

missmouse101 · 17/11/2019 17:32

Elise is along the same lines as Elisha. Chavvy where I am, in Wales.

cocomelon23 · 17/11/2019 16:48

Elise is a car so along the lines of naming your child Mercedes Confused.

SuitedandBooted · 17/11/2019 15:01

Lydia is lovely. Classic and still a bit unusual.

Autumn and Summer are certainly a bit chavvy around here (posh SE area). Elise seems to cover both extremes.

I really like Constance too, and Connie is a nice NN

Lydia Constance Smile

mathanxiety · 17/11/2019 14:10

Elise is a filler middle name where I am.

Worrier167 · 17/11/2019 14:05

Really interesting to hear all the different views. Must depend on area. Neither Aurelia or Elise would be even slightly chavvy in my area!

Thetimetravelerswife · 17/11/2019 11:53

Summer is in my opinion...
I don’t think Elise is...maybe Elsie is...(if not a nickname for a longer name)

Lavenderblues · 17/11/2019 11:26

I'd also like to know where those that find Elise chavvy live?Shock

I find Autumn and Summer a little chavvy.

MissHenty · 17/11/2019 09:57

I love Aurelia

I’d use that as first name

@misspiggy19 @tabbiemoo @missmouse101 @cocomelon23 @spied

Interested to know where in the country you are?

basicbitch16 · 17/11/2019 09:32

My DD is called Elise & I absolutely love it. Definitely not chavvy where we live! I'm actually really surprised it's chavvy anywhere.

Aurelia reminds me of Love Actually, although it is beautiful.

How about Amelie?

Nillynally · 17/11/2019 08:46

Summer could be, but I do like it x

misspiggy19 · 17/11/2019 08:33

Elise is chavvy. I’ve never known it not to be

SheChoseDown · 17/11/2019 08:25

Lydia chlamydia

mathanxiety · 17/11/2019 08:23

Aurelia Constance would be my choice.

tabbiemoo · 17/11/2019 08:16

Where I live Summer and Elise are both a bit chavvy. Autumn is borderline.

Eloise definitely better.
Lydia is very nice. I'm not a fan of Aurelia.

Of your other names I like Constance - nn Connie and Felicity nn Flick (I know a few who go by Fifi or Lissy which I'm not a fan of)

Celeste is ok but I prefer Cecily or Cecelia which are similar.

Persephone is interesting I prefer Seraphina which is similar.

AaaaaaarghhhWhereAreMyKeys · 16/11/2019 21:33

Yes, two of them, Summer is the worst followed by Autumn.

Chlosavxox · 16/11/2019 21:24

I think Summer is (from what I've seen) but the others are nice

Hey1256 · 16/11/2019 21:19

Summer and autumn are chavvy IMO
